ya, HDB allow singles above 35 to buy even up to exec flats. The rules changed a few years ago. Quite a number of exec flats were purchased by Singles when HDB opened up those units to private agencies eg propnex to help sell them off after those units were still not taken up even after many years of WIS

yup, schedules are accorded to all the blks under the specific town council. U can check the notice board at the void deck for details. I think also cant blame them as they are afraid to get scolding if they discard the 'rubbish' placed outside units as previously there was ever some ho-ha in one of my old place after owners complained that the sweepers threw away their belongings though it was placed in those black rubbish bags outside their unit. i also never see the cleaner sweeping my blk but there was once when i was on leave and saw him sweeping it close to noon.

when i renovated my kitchen, the bi-fold toilet door had to go even though its was really very new. It was not possible to reinstall it back as the door flame was damaged after the kitchen wall tiles were hacked.

confirm with your contractor whether its China or Germany made kronotex. There's a China made for the budget conscioius. -
ya, definitely faster. That time my parents also got it from the branch office because they beri slow. The hdb so called inspector also dare not come out of his office as he made a grave mistake asking for the scv box to be shifted when it wasnt required in the 1st place. Luckily no official complaint lodged against him and the head came out to meet my parents after they were made to wait for nearly an hour.

Problem On Loan Matter
born_again replied to looney's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
pay 45k levy then can take hdb loan? thought pay CASH levy so that one can get another direct flat (subsidised) from HDB but nothing to do with hdb loan right? or is it a one-time thing for your case? ya, think the bank would only allow bridging loan after u sell your flat as they need to access your financial standing eg. CPF balances. the 5% cash (of valuation) is to be paid to the bank then u can get bank loan. contra cases only if the bank is not involved for both sellers n buyers. y dont u consider selling your place first since u dun have much in your cpf? -
given a choice I'll definitely install grills and would settle for wrought iron as i dont wish to be the next victim.

if u have dont mind spending the $ and space constraints then opt for 2in1. Most go for separate due to the drying capacity and u only need to repair either on in the event that one breaks down

problem with me?

bought a 3-door promo wardrobe from their Thomson Pz branch. The staff who attended to us was very friendly and was more knowlegable compared to the China staff over at AMK. We were not in when the staff delivered the wardrobe but mum said they were very friendly and even helped to throw a bag of trash when my mum requested them to do it. overall, we're very satisifed with them as the staff doesnt pressurised us to buy their stuff. Cost of our wardrobe was around $250. Quality is much better than Ikea's and of the right size. We had searched high n low for that measurement.

we're all waiting for your reno Part II (for your recess area)...its really taking too long. Think this HDB really asking u to wait till Xmas? Really too much of them. k, after the installation...do remember to post pics to show. We're waiting

newnyew u're so funny. But I think u're very brave to 'saw' off the neck. For me, I've yet to do that cos very fortunate to have mum doing the cooking all these years. Don't know if I'll ever get a chance to do the 'sawing'

Laminated Flooring For Living Rm And 3 Bedroom
born_again replied to jo54anne's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
cant advise u on this as it all depends on the brand and the materials that u're using. There are many brands in the market, made in Germany, China, M'sian etc...materials to consider would be AC3, AC4, AC5. do u know the area measurement of your living room and 3 bedrooms? Once u have the area, u can try out hbay.com.sg and get the rough estimation for doing up laiminated flooring for your living room and 3 bedrooms. -
your rusty copper tile very nice. Whats the texture like and is it slippery at wet areas?
