  1. Hi, me also worried about the safety aspect. Where's the company located in Bishan? Mind posting or PM the address?
  2. we have been using the same model since 2005 and love it alot as its easy to clean and maintain. My mum was worried about the glass but she has no complains now and even replaced the one in her own place with a glass hob though not rinnai as its too expensive and she wont be using it (tenants using it). My mum does heavy cooking every day, at least twice a day and the glass is able to withstand the heat. We're using cylinder gas for this hob and we noticed that it consume lesser gas. You might wanna read more about this inner flame burner from here
  3. it all depends on individual. I've a friend who took more than 2 years and viewed more than 200 units. For all our buyings, we viewed less than 10 units and zoom down on the one we like
  4. valuation report has to be valid at time of submission to HDB for 1st appointment
  5. precisely. Nothing to do with her right? As though she stands to gain some $ if the sellers decided to charge us. Meanwhile, u can check with your sellers thru the agent if they're agreeable to a specific 2nd appointment date prior to attending the 1st appt. Good luck!
  6. i think its close to market rate. HDB Classic Package* Supreme Package* U.P. Now! U.P. Now! 3-Room $900 $800 $1000 $900 4-Room $1200 $1100 $1300 $1200 5-Room $1400 $1300 $1500 $1400 5-Room Executive $1500 $1400 $1600 $1500 Maisonette $1600 $1500 $1700 $1600
  7. not considering wrought iron grilles since its a ground floor unit?
  8. 2nd appointment is usually between 6-8 weeks if HDB base on their 'formula'. But nowadays, HDB would ask seller and buyer on the spot if they have a preferred date for the 2nd appointment. We extended our case with our seller to about nearly 10 weeks as we had to go thru our 2nd appointment with our buyers, wait for funds to be back into our CPF and for the bank to expedite the sales. The HDB officer wasnt happy and kept asking the seller to charge us a fee even after sellers informed that its ok. The HDB officer asked nearly 5 times and even asked the sellers to discuss outside her office if they wanted more time to discuss. We were so mad with the HDB officer cos seller already said NO NO NO. Cant imagine if the seller said Yes cos last min before we exercise the option, seller had already UP the COV by another 2k. Guess the sellers pity us!
  9. is your tall table from Picket & Rail but stained it into White to go with your house theme? Neat & tidy looking in White! I've one but in original wooden colour from my aunt as a house warming gift for our previous place. ur place is very very nicely renovated.
  10. Tks i'm using the same hob. Ur hood really very chio!!!!! price is also very reasonable. Bravo to ur good taste
  11. for stubborn stains i would spray some Mr Muscle or Wan Jie Ling (Magic clean - green) or even jif to clean the dirt. Used whatever I could grab to clean the oily stains and stubborn stains from the window frame and window grilles. The window frame and window grilles are close to 20yrs so u can imagine ......
  12. u got pic to show? What's the colour of your window frame? Dirty as in?
  13. your hood looks D A M N cool. Not from Rinnai right? How much does it cost?
  14. yup, that's one of the main reason why many signed up with STARHUB else Singnet would have been able to monopolized the entire island anyway, some opt for attractive gifts as time of signing up...too bad i always missed those gifts when my contract runs out
  15. me too. I did my own advert to sell my 4room flat and had to put up with all sorts of agents. Some made appointment to view my place with 'their' buyers but turned out to be INVISIBLE 'buyers' as the agent merely wanted to get me to sign exclusive with them. Whatever they said, i'll shoot them down with a NO NO NO. In the end, i sold my flat to an agent with her buyer and nego for an acceptable comms (less than 1%) due to negative sales. But, we ended up paying 1% towards our buying of the next flat as we contacted the seller's agent who advert the unit in our targeted block. It was the only unit selling so in the end we settled for that flat. It was not a pleasant experience as the seller's agent sided the seller all the way eg. 90days OTP as seller need time to source for a place, had to extend the stay after 2nd appt and not paying a single cent for goodwill rental, etc. We had no experience and was just to eager to pay deposits to the seller and the stupid agent only dropped the bombshell on all the conditions after we signed the necessary. In the end, it was the seller's daughter who spoke up for us as a mutual party and told her mum that its only right to pay the rental if they are going to move out later. for my next flat, i also tried to sell it on my own and again all sorts of nasty agents came along the way. In the end, a friend helped us to close the deal and we paid less than 1% for the selling. for buying of current flat, we got smarter but time wasnt on our side so we contacted an agent to view his seller's unit at one of the blocks that we zoomed in. Ding dong here and there and in the end, we decided to get the unit. We nego for an acceptable comms and we paid slightly less than 1% for the buying. Moral of the story = its better to get your own agent for your buying and dont get smoked by the seller's agent.
  16. that's y i stopped baking for a long time. My friend gave me a bag of cookies for xmas and I cant stopped eating. hahahaha
  17. if its my house, i'm more than happy with it as its parquet throughout. But like what the rest said, it depends on you. A perfectionist has to get everything perfect but what's the possibility of closing one or two eyes on such occasions? Maybe a thin door mat might do the trick.
  18. I think there r more complaining about M1. I've been using Starhub all these years and never had problem until i moved to new place also in Hougang. Think there's many people using Starhub over here. Thinking of switching over to Singnet but only after my contract ends next year.
  19. its indeed sad to know so many became victims after engaging the superstar. The bad experience we had with our first ID for our previous flat was nothing compared to what all of you, victims of Ah Soon had gone thru. It was very stressful and I understand how all of you are going thru this painful experience. I sincerely wish that all of you would be able to find someone trustworthy and help you to finish up all the works that's left undone. Its not going to be easy so do it step by step.
