me sama sama. 1st place at Hougang Ave 7, a 4-room belongs to my parents. Then bought my first unit beside my parents', also a 4-room. Upgraded to EM in 2005 also at Hougang Ave 7 and now downgraded to a 5-room at Hougang Ave 8. Ur mum still staying in Hougang? My parents are staying with me and have rented out their unit for the past 2 years

now we go into the kitchen, the only place given a 100% overhaul. Our kitchen looks abit different as seldom see people do darker colour for top and lighter colour for bottom. The messy kitchen Rinnai hob and Ellane hood as Rinnai hood couldnt fit in as obstructed by the beam. Also done up the kitchen top with Black Glaxary granite. Love it so much!!! Its like "Or Kim" New grilles and rubbish chute. Saving up to replace kitchen windows.

Skyraider (that's the name of the fan) near dining area. There's another one near TV area. We removed the 'chandelier lights' left by sellers and replaced it with 2 ceiling fans. KDK wall fan for all the bedrooms plus study room Simple squarish lights for all the bedrooms & study room. We opted for this squarish light as previously we bought those rectangle lights with dual tubes for our rooms at the EM to make the rooms brighter but hardly ever use the dual tubes as one single tube was already sufficient. simple small light for the 2 toilets. There's another one in black at the recess area

bought the decals from Ikea over the weekends. Very limited designs but still quite affordable. Intend to get decals for the kids in future but would get it from those websites suggested by forumers here.

nothing wrong but the base a bit small so u'll need to source for small fridge to fix the base. But u can always make the base bigger. My dad make the base bigger when my mum bought the side by side fridge for me as the original base was too small for the side by side fridge.

ya very nice. One of my neighbor got similar type of wall tiles at the recess area done up by their sellers. They got the contractor to paint over it with white paints (think special type of paints to withstand outdoor env) and it give a very country feel. nevertheless, yours looks nice as the colours of the tiles very lasting look. Best of all, no need to waste $ to re-do the wall tiles.

got any pic of the little window? My studyroom, 1 bedroom and the living room all came with little window as its a corner unit. We sealed it up since wont need the windows. I remembered my parent's MBR has it but we also didnt open it and the contractor who came to do the rivets back in 2005 told my parents that its not necessary to spent $ to change the rivets since not opening it.

The altar was very important to us and after lots of brainstorming sessions and research, Mr DIY decided to self improvise. Took a few days to DIY as need to 'pour' cement into the 'tower' to make it heavy and stable. The black out curtains to block the morning sun.

would love to have a real dog but it'll definitely be tortured by my kids. In fact, my mum was saying this dog would break one day as my 2 yr old girl would carry it out and 'ride' it like a horse every day. no problem. Can still call me Hello88. heeeeeeeeeee.

main door shifted out. Luckily HDB already replaced it with a fire rated door otherwise it'll cost alot to get one. Did grilles and windows for recess area as safety comes before anything when u have young kids at home.

the 'orchid' and water feature at the gate. No more FS for us but I wanted some 'shui' right at the door so got hubby to DIY our so-called water feature. Got the orange bowl 2 years back from Nature Co and they did water proofing treatment for us.

See the green room? thats our study room the tangerine wall at the living room which is our cheapo featured wall housing our 29" Toshiba TV aka the grand old man that had threatened to 'retire' each time we moved house. The 1st time from our 4-room to our EM then from our EM to our current 5-room. But luckily the repairman managed to 'CPR' it back. Cant afford a 37" LCD yet so hope the grand old man lives on. the blue room is for the boz see the 3 circles? We sealed up the windows.

keep it up. Read from somewhere that more dust would be accumulated if we were to close our windows and doors all the time.
