I will mount a TV there... Currently he prefers to sleep with us. So most probably will use his room as my study room for the time being. Will watch soccer in the middle of the night there too..

Thanks for the compliment. I got a warehouse full of our stuff, so need as must storage space as possible. I never imagine kid can have soooo much crap (treasures in his eyes). Also no money to buy bigger house, so need to find creative ways to put storage yet not make the house any smaller. That in turn translate to higher carpentry cost, cos cannot buy off the shelves. Even the bed i bought got hidden storage space.. Will post pictures when it is delivered next week.

Thanks... spent a lot of effort getting it to be what we wanted. We even went down to the furniture workshop in Sungei Kadut to ensure that it is done correctly. Also specifically went down to Blum to talk to the staff and selected the correct Aventos HL. Still not perfect, so need the workers to come down again next week.. Maybe later I'll post some "defect" photos from my carpentry.

Here's the Blum Aventos HL. The workers looked at it like their worst nightmare.. Like a jigsaw puzzle that no one know how to fix.

Some updates on the carpentry... This is the custom made bed that sits on the baywindow. Bottom of the bed will be cabinets. Think it will be a mini toys'r'us there.. A study table will be attached to the bed.

Doing venetian blinds... Didn't want to frost it cos I still would like some light into the bathroom. Similar to this... But going to frost the window next to the toilet bowl... no choice for that one.. Dunno why they do the toilet until so open... the whole architecting team must be all guys...

Yup... have to do grilles for the room. Actually, the windows comes with a built in safety feature. You cannot open the window fully until you release a catch and push all the way at the same time. Kids don't have the strength to do it. But doing grilles anyway cos will open the windows fully most of the time as it is windy. Reno part is around 25K cos doing lots of carpentry, chengal decking and wallpapering. Additional furniture, curtains, lightings and electronics abt 13K. Hopefully can move by next weekend. Most of the reno will be completed this week. Wait until neck long long already...

Yup.. I saved $800 off my fridge, $150 off my washing machine.. TV not sure cos I never keep track of the original price... So shop around... it will be worth the effort...

I guess will stack up when it rains... Anyway I feel that the "egg" shape one is more comfy
-
Bought from Unique Home Furnishings. Actually wanted to buy the one below. But realised after stacking it is too high. If I accidentally push then the table will drop downstairs.. Scared scared...

Think got a few branches... United Square (near Novena Square) and Katong Mall... Checked around and found that their prices are reasonable...

Balcony Furniture. Really liked this piece. Can also be used in the living room when more people visit. The one I bought is black in colour with green cushions.. I asked my kid to stand on the chair and measured the height. He will still be shorter than the railings of the balcony. Anyway on the safe side, I will purchase the Lindam gates and put in the balcony to prevent him or other kids from going into the balcony unattended. This gate can be extended to over 3m so can cover the whole balcony.

Some of the appliances we bought for the home... All bought from Mega Discount Store. Very good prices, even better than the neighbourhood shops that we've checked in Bedok, Clementi and AMK. Mitsubishi Folio Fridge (worried now that it may not fit into the space). LG TROMM Washing Machine (Washer + Dryer) Due to space limitation, so bought a 2 in one. Sharp 46in LCD TV (LC45D85M)

The bed in his room is super single. It is custom made to sit on the baywindow with cabinets at the bottom. The room is really small, so no choice have to find ways to save space.. Basically 40% of the width of the bed is on the baywindow, the other 60% is on a custom built structures that holds the cabinet below. I should be able to share some pics next week. Carpentry will be starting on Monday.

Not really a single bed. Just a child bed. Smaller than a single bed..

The rest of the work is done by other contractor which I find myself. 1. Chengal Decking - Liang Hoe Huat 2. Curtains - MGL 3. Wallpapering - Europa Overall cost is around $25k

The electrician was nice enough to change all my living room switches and plugs to Clipsal Zencelo. He gave me 2 colors to match the wallpaper. White and Bronze. Here's the bronze one..
