After the house inspection (before the 1st appt), will the buyer be contacted if there are unapproved reno done to the house? My first appt is in July and I received the HDB notification on the dates, also was informed that the inspection is on early June (last week), so it was done already, but I didn't received any news from my agent, etc ..... can I assume that all was ok?? Also, in the HDB letter, it mentined that I should get my own inspector to inspect the house, what's this for? Is it required? I thought HDB inspection should be quite stringent already .... first time buying flat, very blur on all these stuff ....

Hi, is it common to have L-box in the bedroom? I want to install ceiling fan in bedroom but the ones I like from KDK does not come with lighting. So, wandering if it's common to do L-box in the bedroom. Will the light heat up the room? Thanks!

What there a minimum size required in the toilet to install shower screen? Can do it in a 1.5m X 2.4m toilet? There is already a shower area with kerb in the toilet, but not sure if can install shower screen .....

We got bedbugs problem a few years ago, suspect it's from our maid when she went back to her hometown. We threw away all mattress, pillow, some bedsheets and divan, and also laminated our bedrooms floors. We got parquet flooring that have gaps after many years, suspected that the bugs were also hiding down in there. So, we decided the laminate over all parquet floors, but before that we mopped the floor with Kerosene/thinner to kill the bugs (advised by the salesman from laminate company). I was traumatized by the whole episode, so when I bought new bedrame to replace the divan, I bought one that is made of metal (entirely), they can hide in the metal but they like to hide in the woods and fabric better.... and I haven't remove the plastic from my mattress! Got mattress protector, so don't feel the plastic... not so bad.
