Don't know how much it cost but it's not durable. During my flat hunting, I had seen kitchen top with tiles and many of them has problem in the sink area. For lots of them, the wood has rotted and the sink were sagging and tiles popping up due to that.

Haiz ... more money need to be spend. Got a friend who recently got retrenched , made me really wary about spending too much on reno.

Can the toilet doors be re-use? 'coz it's still quite new, the current owner reno 3 years ago.

My plan is to redo the wall and floor for the master toilet and also add shower screen, change the toilet bowl and sink, probably no vanity 'coz I worry about mold and rot on the wood. For the common toilet, only replacing the squat toilet to seating one but that will need some hacking and also change the sink. Also, thinking of getting a water heater storage and add in hot water pipe into the kitchen and of course both toilets.

My mom told me to just pick 初一 or 十五 to start reno, she said for anything done on those dates, there is no need to consult the almanac or perform any ritual already. I guess the same thing for moving house. Oh, and if contractor not ready to start on those auspicious date, just make some "reno noise" to mark that the reno already started

Is L-box expensive? I don't like AC, prefers fan ... currently using those free standing unit but they are not very nice to look at .... so thinking of using ceiling fan and I am not into fengshui, so I guess it's ok ..
