  1. oOo... i wanna go on holiday too!..i miss taiwan... Coolz.. aircon wise, Ray / Elcy referred me to this guy called Alex (friendly guy). We did some price comparison, not that much of a difference.. so we decided to go ahead with Alex seeing how they have a pretty good working relationship and coordination wise it'll be a lot easier. Our aircon was installed some time back; just received the controllers cos we only paid yesterday aircons were working fine..
  2. So how's your ID search coming along Wolf, Eric? Hey Body, congrats on confirming with 2Form hehe.. you'll not have any regrets having Elcy as your ID. She's a fantastic person to work with, though these couple of weeks they are super busy... By the way, if ya still looking for toilet accessories do drop by Heritage & look for Penny. So far she's been very helpful and they seem to have a pretty good working relationship with 2Form... less 1 headache/hassle of coordinating and no worries about buying from a dubious shop
  3. Not sure if this thread is alive, but just wanna give 2 thumbs up to Penny from Heritage. We bought quite a number of our stuffs from them and they've been fantastic with their service and attitude so far. Had a few minor issues on the taps thought it is not their fault (basin & tap did not fit well together size wise). Either a product defect or wasn't well installed but they were willing to let us choose & bring back 2 new designs, along with a new tap that is identical to the one recently installed, and compare which is better and simply return the 'extras' @ a later date even though we had already paid up the full amount They aren't the cheapest around - certain items are slightly higher as compared to A.excel or R.Franco, but some items are cheaper and they are open to 'negotiation' ... and for the peace of mind that they aren't irresponsible like other black sheeps around.. so we're very happy with Heritage No harm dropping by their shops if ya looking for ur accessories and get a quotation from them
  4. yeah~ glad to see that 2Forms picking up hee it's been hard locating other couples/individuals who have signed up with them. Not to worry about Elcy, she's very organised and works around the clock hehe... u can call her @ 11pm and she'll still entertain u
  5. Ya most welcome~ hope u'll be able to find one ID which u both are comfortable with.. if im not mistaken, 2form was featured on 1 of the magazines..home concepts i think... so license wise, it shouldnt be that bad? *make myself feel better haha Do let us know on how the workmanship turns out @ e viewing. Our reno..fingers crossed before Xmas hehe... or else gonna 'sock it to em' hehe... thanks!
  6. Hihi Eric & Wolf, Haha yep, to be honest price wise definitely not the cheapest around haha, but they do make u feel that they are sincere about wanting the business no matter how big or small.. workmanship it aint too bad.. not 100% perfect, minor defects here and there... but at least they are prompt in their follow ups and have it fixed asap. Esp since we have quite a few customization requests, so given the low 'error rate', quite happy so far They brought us to one of the condos to have a look @ workmanship before we engaged them.. brought both our parents along and they managed to pass both our parents' benchmark..haha so for us that is good enuff. No harm asking them to bring you guys to view workmanship..im sure they'll be able to arrange something License wise we were quite worried about it too in the beginning hee kept bugging them about it every time we met..but they said that they have already applied for it and waiting for approval, cos usually for such license the govt agency need to send surveys out to the previous customers & get feedback (i think) before approving
  7. Hi Eric, We enagaged 2form too, but our ID is Ray & Elcy. So far they've both been 'on-the-ball' with the follow ups for the usual minor issues on carpentry etc, esp when the neighbour downstairs complained of a leak in their ceiling... that issue was quickly resolved.. Thumbs up to their initative to build 'rapport' with all the neighbours who'd be affected by the hacking and drilling... 1 of them is slightly more organised, .. (guess which gender) Defintely not short on ideas, giving new suggestions as they tackle each section of our unit.. some changes to the initial design along the way due to unforseen circumstances but we're able to compromise (hence it's taking a while for our reno to be completed) Easy to work with bunch of pple, open to discussions / feedback... Overall we're quite happy so far, nothing too dramatic... hehehe waiting to see the end finish... *fingers crossed*
  8. hey hey Pink, we just got back couple of days ago... yep it was FUN! I love taiwan! haha.. on the day of our shoot, the weather wasn't that good..pretty cloudy, so we weren't able to have the clear blue skies sort of pic which we wanted..but overall it turned out pretty well Reno wise... pretty good so far...major carpentry done, though there's some errors made in the 'shelving' allocation in our living room storage cabinet as well as our shoe cabinet... they're prob gonna have to take it down & redo it....otherwise, everything else coming along fine...our home starting to take shape hehe... did i mention i LOVE taiwan?
  9. Haha thanks Hopefully the false ceiling will be up by this week.. we havent gone for the shoot yet.. end of the month hee...can't wait...although I'm more excited about the shopping & eating 'cos its my first time to Taiwan haha We've been to the various furniture shops..nothing seems to catch our attention (while taking into consideration our budget)... hopefully our next shopping trip will be more fruitful *finger crossed* Cellini, Plush, Mode, IFC, Objet living, OM, Sofalab... Hmmm think the mattress was about 2k.. didnt know that for Robinson, if there's any sales in the future where the same mattress is going at a cheaper price, they'll honor the lower price for you until the day they deliver.... Will sleep like a big baby hee
  10. Hey hey Pink... *dusting away the cobwebs* hehe.. surprised our Tblog's still 'remembered' thought it'd be stored away in a trunk in the attic by now keke... Unfortunately nothing worth updating actually, things have pretty much come to a crawl. Right now... we're waiting for the guys to finish preparing the 'mold' or some sort for our dining area's ceiling...after that it'll be the painting and finally the carpentry Plus we're actually busy preparing for our overseas wedding photo shoot, settling our ROM venue and desperately hunting for suitable furniture and lightnings for our home. Pretty much settled the lightnings, except for the MBR lights.. exceeded our estimated budget by a fair bit sigh... and our living sofa has been elusive.. can't seem to find a suitable one.. and been comparing prices for our bathroom accessories between RF & Heritage. OoO..but 1 thing that i've been most happy is the purchase of our Sealy mattress haha got it during the Robinson mattress sale... *woot* So we're kinda left with quite a bit of shopping (& spending).. Toilet accessories, furniture, curtains/window blinds, and electronics. Weeks of budget allocation.. *tap taping away at the calculator* haha
  11. If i'm not mistaken, the 'official defects' which HDB will recognize is those that they would have already pointed out to you during the time between 1st & 2nd appointment. What they expect from you would be if there is any 'defects' pointed by them, you are to ensure that it is rectified by the 2nd appointment. By then even if it is not rectified, it is now the new owners' "problem" and they will not postpone (I may be wrong wor...) During the 2nd appointment, if you point out there are other 'defects' which HDB inspectors did not point out previously...i don't think they will 'acknowledge' it 'cos to them it would be considered as 'invalid' otherwise they would have highlighted it previously.... just my guess only... try calling HDB hotline in the morning (before lunch time) to confirm.... ? Good luck~!
  12. Haha..for a moment thought HDB bias, gonna complain...
  13. Your's pretty fast... we had to wait slightly more than a month between our 1st & 2nd appointment...
  14. Congrats! and glad that ya hacking everything hehe
  15. Wow... is that gonna be a room purely for ya wardrobe? Reminds me of the Carlsberg beer advert; walk-in fridge hee
  16. Welcome to the East~! wow you've come a long way from Dover hehe
  17. So far pretty ok.. plastering right now.. but we typically only inspect on the weekends too 'cos of work.. oOo..u guys been shopping already? So far what are the shops that he's brought you to?
  18. Hehe...ur's slightly faster... pretty much finished tiling your kitchen right hee... ur tiless....
  19. Thanks! Yep it is stainless steel..price wise we didn't really ask because the legs were actually left by one of Ray's previous customer. Apparently they had bought these legs, but it didn't suit their requirements, so they gave it to Ray and it's been sitting around in his office ever since Just so happens Ray felt it would go well with our overall theme and the dining table top, (plus we've been such nice customers) he was happy to give it to us FOC
  20. Haha no probz..also with it, supposedly it will help reduce the temperature of the room, keeping it wee bit cooler (theoretically la hee) Sweet~
  21. File it down bah... don't 'ai swee, mai mia' hee... safety more important
  22. Haha tks... i duno how to tell if its good anot lei haha, nothing to compare with (no experience), but its looks pretty 'covered up' and 'evenly flat' to me..so should be fine haha... plus our parents give thumbs up, so if they approve - we approve
  23. Updates!! Plastering underway Front entrance 2nd bedroom MBR View of living & TV area
