Someone is taking over the above company which has been suspended for many years in the SGX. My fren wans to know wat to do with the share that he had with him for many yrs. Like, sell it, buy more? etc Any advise??

Here is how i do it for my old place, 1) Hacking / dismantling job - wall and flooring, electrical and windows - Engage one licensed contractor. Tis guy will apply the permit, so everything is legal. 2) Laminate wood flooring- no need permits 3) Painting - no need permits- can do yr own if u wanna save some money. 4) Capentry works - no need permits - Space planning and design, u can do it on yr own. Check the market price and call as many as contractors and do yr homework well, u will save couples of thousand for sure. I engaged ah soon for my new place, i needs to be there everyday to closely monitor. For the price i pay him, i can save ten over thousand of dollars why not rite? U have 20 to 20K for this budget, there are plenty of ID and contractors for u to choose, if u corodinate it on yr own, u got to decide how much saving is worth doing it. Is yr call................ Yuene got a important pointer that u must take note - the sequence of the job!!! If u needs advise on this area, just ask!!!

I doubt the authorities will assist this matter promptly. As there are renovation had been done previously, the finger will point at the owner and contractor. Both of them will held liable in the event any damages to the building etc. Since you had redone not once but twice, pray that there are no leaking anymore. As for the water piping at yr neighbour, is it cast iron or PVC piping? At the point of rework yr toilet flooring, you shld suggest to change the piping too at the wc. But is not too late now, ask yr neighbour to change to new piping instead.

Ever thought of be yr own ID? As in, plan yr own design, coordinate the project yrself? Source for individual contractor to do yr renovation works. I m sure it shld be less than 20K? Did you try our famous Ah Soon to quote u?

One weird thing leh. Uncle quote me for 14ft of kitchen cabinets (top and bottom). But overall quote of $900 for solid surface at his rates translates to 12 feet of solid surface.... My hanging cabinets only 2 feet long meh??? Maybe his $75 refers to the cheapest bellus? He give allowance just in case we choose most expensive bellus?? Yo wanna clarify something here, uncle quoted u kitchen cabinets for 14ft top and bottom. Meaning yr lenght of the kitchen cabinets area is 14ft and not 7 ft rite? Coz uncle quoted me 7ft for top and 7ft for bottom and another cost for 7 ft for solid top. Tis is the oldest trick in the reno industry. But I closed both of my eyes!!! lolz
