Dear David, Poor quality PU will peel. PVC will not peel or crack but it will absolutely tear after 18-24 months because it does not have the tensile strength necessary to be used in upholstering a sofa. PVC is ideal for use in headboards, dining chairs with a wood base but PVC cannot withstand being used in sofas if you want it to last beyond 2 years.

Basically, if they cannot meet the original delivery in the order you are entitled to cancel the order. However, if you want to postpone the order then the law is not in your favour. If you are moving after the CNY, I suggest that you look for them after CNY because all furniture companies will be busy now and they will probably not get back to you quickly. After CNY I am sure they will be more responsive.

Just buy a handsaw and DIY. Less than $20.
