  1. Glass shower screen? If yes, try Eastern Glass, can find on yellowpages
  2. I totally disagree. It is the retailers that take the money of the consumers. It is the retailers responsibility to deal with suppliers to ensure that the consumer gets what they ordered. Retailers cannot blame the suppliers. It is the retailers to make sure that the suppliers can deliver what is promised before committing to the consumer.
  3. Can DIY with standard light fittings.
  4. Apparently, a Raycorp vacuum is very good for removing dustmites.

  6. That's actually acceptable. Our climate is really tough on PU leather. Sometimes it may be better to buy PVC instead.

  14. Tempur is layer of memory foam on a layer of regular foam, it is excellent at conforming to your body therefore it will feel extremely comfortable. The drawback is that the support is not so good for heavier people. Also, memory foam works best in a cool environment because it is temperature sensitive, the foam becomes softer when the temperature goes up. The ideal operating temperature is actually 16-18 degrees Celsius.
  15. Dear Robin, We are not fanboys of Simmons, what we are saying these are the terms of the warranty, in other words, they have every right to make the request they are making. What I am really trying to say to you or anybody on this forum is don't be sucked in by big brand names without doing your homework. Simmons is taking advantage of their brand name and giving you a warranty that is tilted in their favour. I am using your thread to inform other users that when you buy a mattress, do check the warranty. Most of the big brands will avoid replacing the full value your mattress. If you do your research properly you will find that there are many good brand out there that do not practice a pro-rated warranty. In this instance, Simmons is using your request for an upgrade to go back on their waiver of the replacement payment. Cheers,
  16. This is the link to Simmons warranty http://www.simmons.com.sg/service/warranty.html This is a pro-rated warranty. In other words there is a depreciation applied to the mattress once it has been used for more than 2 year. So the email makes all the sense in the world. When shopping for a mattress check if the warranty is pro-rated or not.
  17. I would suppose all Serta mattresses in Singapore would be the same. But it does sound like a reasonable price. I wouldn't say it is a good deal I am sure you can do better elsewhere.
  18. If you don't post the value of the package, nobody would know if it is a good deal or not. If you read the posts here you will know that Serta in Singapore are made by a licensee in Indonesia. The prices are really high for what they are. If you then do some more research you will realize that Serta in the US sells a continuous coil mattress but in Singapore they sell pocketed coils. So do consider carefully.

Can you share with us what company this is? This will help others from acquiring the same problem.
  20. Dear Woody, I did not say I think or salesman tell me. I said I know which mean I know for a fact that Restonic has models that are indeed made in USA. This is a verifiable fact. Also, ACTIVCOR is made in Germany and assembled in USA, this is also fact. Just because a company is owned by somebody else does not mean that the production facilities are move. Jaguar is own by TATA of India, does it mean that Jaguars are made in India. Verify your information before accusing me of being conned. Cheers,
  21. Dear Tanweiw, I know for sure that Restonic has models that are 100% made in USA and there is a new brand called Activcor that is made in Germany and assembled in USA.
