midrange should cost around 2-3k bah...most impt is you plan for your surround speakers if you intend to get a 5.1 system, ie if you have false ceiling, then you can lay your surround cables first...you can go to adelphi and audition their systems.

most likely getting oppo80 and 608, i prefer to start mid-range first and upgrade along the way if necessary. 3D tv is just out, sure have plenty of bugs, so will only consider them after the technology stablises. glad to hear only need to calibrate once...maybe can get the installation guys to calibrate them after the setup. heard 708 will only come in at the end of the year. ya, i believe in point 1. if i have the budget, would have gotten the B&W speakers...

no leh, mine is 608 but also waiting for it to come in....hahaha but i read from somewhere tat 608 only has Audyssey 2EQ while the 707 has Audyssey Multi EQ which means the 608 dont calibrate the subwoofer! This is important as your frequency crossover may not be optimum.

if you are keen in getting the 708, then your 607 how? i will call kec later and update you again.
