will join the next round if we can make it. am planning to change the dish rack to song cho one if possible. need to check whether it can fit or not. is he really tat bz? i have contacted him several times and he still ans my calls.
-
ya, long time no hear from me. seems like your neighbours are also enjoying your delicious cookies, eclairs, etc...hehe ya, have to remove it frequently to clean away the rust. it's a little high for my wife too even though i have requested it to be adjusted lower. maybe you can ask edmund to do the rectification for you if you are using a table top drainer. Song cho products are still the best, no regrets getting them.

yes, it can be removed. it is supported by spring, so just need to push both rods to one side and remove them from the holes. However i find this dish rack is not very gd cos it rusts easily, gotta clean and maintain it frequently. Still prefer those disk rack from song cho.

wah, your hubby really loves collecting sofa. so in the end where did you get your sofa from? ya, she blatantly said tat and still can giggle after tat...but the legs arrive in gd conditions, if not, i also would not accept them.
-
ya, the legs are actually detachable when it arrived and immediately i knew the legs are wrong when i saw it. so the delivery guys took them back and the sales person still got the cheek to ask me whether i can accept the wrong legs as they dun have stock for the original legs which i wanted. I rejected her suggestion and said i will wait for the stock to arrive then since i still have time on my side. The next day, the sales person called me again and told me they have ready stock now which i find quite puzzling cos she told me there wasnt any stock the previous day. So i asked her how she managed to get them and she replied tat she took the legs from the showroom sofa... are you getting anything else from them beside the wallpaper?
-
i also ordered my sofa from them and luckily not much issue on this except for the delivery of the wrong sofa legs...
-
ya, the leftovers are returned to me. some of the tears are not so obvious unless you observed them closely. are you using stainless steel sink for your kitchen? if yes, it's advisable not to let them take water from it cos my sink was scratched...
-
congrats froggy in coming to the end of your reno journey. we had the same storeroom rack too...
-
yup got it from them at one of the exhibitions in expo. They teared the wallpapers during installation and they just simply glued them back. i din find out during the handover till upon close inspection the day after.
-
mr rabbit, hope you have a smooth reno...
-
gd luck in your wallpaper installation...my wallpapered room had a few tears here and there after it is done. you doing wallpaper for the whole house...impressive, wish i had tat kind of budget.

hope you have a smooth reno journey with edmund...

ya, i just returned him the lock and off he goes. he did not ask for payment and i also did not expect him to ask for it on that day. i think its a common understanding tat he ask for payment after the defect inspection. do not have to feel paiseh cos he will ask you for it eventually.
-
ya, there is no official HO for me, i only returned the number lock tat he used during the reno. i did not walk thru the defects with him cos some defects are only found after tat. luckily my defects are all able to rectify. as for those you mentioned which cant be rectified, then you got to come to some compromise with him. i would say he is "faster" in the rectification process before the final payment which i held for about 1mth. this area is quite subjective. if your level of cleanliness is very high, then i would say no. but he did employ some domestic cleaners to clean the house, including the interiors of the cabinets. For my level, i would say after the clean-up, it is abt 70% clean.

i dun really advise to give final payment on HO day as you would not have bargaining power should you spotted any issue. there is no standard procedure for HO, contractor only hand back your keys to you (if any) and take back his lock. other than tat, wat you need to do is to do defect inspection and get him to recitify till your satisfaction.
