hi tritesse, i'm a masionette owner in the process of gg thru a renovation too. let me share what we have observed-> we've seen some units that have done roofing works at the balcony area. however, what they have done is to start the roof just below the window of the bedroom on the 2nd floor. this will create a higher ceiling than a typical roof which starts midway. hope this gives you some idea on what to do
