Hi all, Just to share my experience with dyson Singapore. The service personel from dyson Singapore just put aeroplane today 15/01/2013. Appointment was made a week ago through their dyson service hotline. Today waited a whole day at home for the service personel, took leave from work. Then no show from their service personel, not even a call. This dyson giving 5 years on site warranty or lifetime warranty is maybe but all bull story. Super poor after sales service from Dyson Singapore. Give it a second thought if you are considering buying a dyson. I'm now considering other brands in the market after my dyson is dead. I'm using a DC22 by the way. It gives off a whistling sound after using about 15-30mins, which then prompted me to call for service from dyson Singapore. Thanks.

just to add. If you want to build a HTPC and hook it up to your TV -> LCD

I would most likely be getting the 9664 series philips lcd. Amilight spectrum 2.... loved it. has 1 of the best reviews around. but doesn't come cheap AH selling 3000+... Ah only got 5 sets sold 3 sets on the day it arrived. Was planning to grab on sight... but due to the pricing i decided to wait a bit more and see... Philips are the best for LCD as you can see from their LCD monitors. Just a note LG & philips are joint venture in making LCD panels. If you have that little more cash 9704 would be the best bet. Amibilight spectrum 3 ... I would grab it if I got enough cash... I'm now saving to grab my 9664 ... Have yet to see 9704 on display ... advise to read more before you commit your money to the TV you buying. Unless you planning every year change TV lor. try this forum AVforum ...

Just like to share some of my thoughts when coming to LCD and plasma. I myself is doing research on TV for my new house and my end result is clearly LCD no sceond thoughts about it. If you want to hock up PC/Laptop to your TV LCD is the choice. Plasma will lose out on this as in their resolution. ( check out plasma specs on PC connection and you will know why ) Plasma is good if you always watch very very fast pace movies / football. Cos they are at 600Hz scan. Plasma is more power consuming than LCD if not the same given the new plasma ECO technology. Talking about smoothness and 3D depth which plasma always have the lead, you should then check out Philips New range of LCDs you will be surprised. Finally, how much are you willing to spend on your house TV that is the most important factor. If you want the best TV on the market with no budget limit then get the pioneer kuro it will never disappoint you. For me myself after much reading on LCDs and plasma. My final choice is the Philips 9000 series LCDs no second thoughts about it as you will be surprised at their NM (Natural Motion) technology. ( Warning some people get sea sick after watching cos it is too smooth until we human cannot take it. ) My wife also loved the ambilight technology from philips, it was a love at first sight. The 3D depth is almost on par with the pioneer kuro. Read other forums on LCDs and plasma to help you make a better choice. My choice when choosing between LCD and plasma -> hitachi plasma -> panasonic plasma -> philips LCD ( confirmed final choice ) Happy making your final choices.

Sembawang Green Break In
quanfatt replied to quanfatt's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
Hi firehorse, My contactor is going to take all the losses, as he feels it is his fault. I have only 1 contactor. Hi Bigloop, Did you make a police report on the break in? I suspect could be the same person. They decoded the number lock also? Or was the lock damaged? More police report then police would step up the patrol around our area. The nearest police station from sembawang green is way too far. They could have build another one nearby our place. -
Sembawang Green - Interior Design Contractors
quanfatt replied to cohen06's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Sorry to hear of your situation. When I first started off to look for a contractor, I looked only for RADAC approved contractor. But they proved too expensive and over quoted me. End up I selected a contractor that was under our block walking around type. Until today, I'm still quite happy with his work although my renovations was really really slow. But he did not keep asking me for payment. Maybe because I told him I'm not in a rush, that is why he took his time. But I must comment that his workmanship is one of the best I have viewed among all the Big and small renovations firms. Just to share, my flooring is the 800 by 800 homogenous type, which all firms will tell you have warping problems. So far there is no warping and its so smooth when i walk on it. Those interested could PM me for his contacts. -
Sembawang Green Break In
quanfatt replied to quanfatt's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
Hi firehorse, I'm currently working out a compensation plan with my contractor. Cos both party suffers losses. Planning a give and take situation. Remind your contractor not to use number lock of any type only use key locks. -
Dear All, To all those living in Sembawang Green and those under going renovation at Sembawang Green Area. My New house under going renovations at Sembawang Green has been broken into by theives. They managed to take off with 2 water heaters, 1 power drill and 4 coils of wires. My water heater is branded 707, Model: Compact. Both brand new still in box. 1 of which should have a missing connecting hose. There were no signs of break in until we checked the items together with my contractor. The thieves must have decoded the key lock and only took off with those items that are easy to sell. My contractor was using number lock for easy access. Please Remind your appointed contractor not to use number lock no matter what. If you come across anyone trying to sell you a 707 Compact water heater, at a very cheap price do inform me or the police. A police report has been made. They are now investigating the case. Should any one have an information do contact me or the police. Thanks everyone for reading. *The hinges at my front metal have all been changed to those welded types.

quanfatt replied to yokine9a's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Hi all, Just to ask for some comments which laminate floor would you all choose. Pergo, Vohringer or Supreme. Which is better. I'm looking for a laminate floor that would not give me problem for at least 10 years. So far my research is that Pergo has the best warranty cover. Any comment welcome. TIA. -
