After lurking behind the scenes for a considerable amount of time and enjoying the various beautiful homes that were featured, i reckoned its time to do a little introduction on my new abode in BP and share my renovation progress in time to come. 1st thing 1st, the floorplan..... The layout is pretty unconventional isn't it? No pre-renovation pictures.......yet as my key collection wil only be in 2 weeks time, but its gonna be a complete o/h from its original state. Now comes the tiring and tedious part; shortlisting our id, fsm and well as the electrical appliances, bathroom fittings, furnitures and wat nots. decisions decisions decisions........

apologies to the t.s for riding on this thread, i got a quote for mhi inverter system 2 for $2300. comes with 1/2 inch 0 gauge thermaflex insulation and g22 copper pipe. 2 trips installation. is the price ok? mitsubishi heavy 17400 btu R410 inverter SCM 45 x 1 & SKM28 x 2

not sure if this helps, i had engaged them 7 years ago for my then 4 room flat, and the carpentry works were great. it was also featured in hone & decor then. very innovative space planning which was one of the reason why my unit was sold pretty quickly.

i'd reckon a minimum of 60k!

All things equal, samsung rs21hnepn gets my vote because: i) Made in Korea; ii) Fridge door handle has a spring loaded lever mechanism that makes opening a breeze. Aesthetically it looks better. At least to me. Thus, i believe its worth paying a little bit more for the Samsung variant.

i will kiv on the samsung washer dryer 1st.

2 school of thoughts here: 1st thought would be to buy high end items cuz it is always assumed to last for a very long time making it vfm in the long run; another option would be to buy something that meets ur requirments in terms of form & function (i know its difficult, gotta find a halfway point somewhere) & disregard the country of manufacture. for me, its simple. i'm gunning for vfm appliances. different strokes for different folks. so there.

absolutely. once i firm up my id then its shopping time! right now i am inclined towards mega discount store. the fridge we r both eyeing is $1199. p.s: unless u really hv space constraint, try not to get washer cum dryer. i just got to know some interesting facts abt the samsung washer dryer which swayed my decision to get the lg seperate washer (8kg) & condenser dryer (7kg) instead.

as it is for me! the cheapest quote i got was $1199 from mega discount store @ KLP....dunno if the salesman was serious.....btw my new place is around your area in BP, at segar.

at the KLP's mega discount store, i was served by a guy called Ace. Very friendly and composed despite my aggresive price slashing approach.

afaik, any washer is capable of washing jeans. i personally wash my jeans inside out and with other similiar coloured jeans only.

hi, i got a quote from gain city at cck for the toshiba inverter sys3 (with MIJ compressor) for 3350 w std instalaltion. (2 X 9000 btu, 1 x 24000 btu). is ur sys 3 config similiar to mine?

my parents are using a samsung top load, cant rem the model but its a basic frills free model. the usage pattern is like twice a day everyday for the past 2 years, so far so gd.

for home appliances can take a look at mega discount store at kallang leisure park. i find their pricing very gd. csn price match. p.s: and i am most certainly not a salesman working for them or getting any commision.

just came back from mega discount store @ KLP. Their prices are really good. Here's there breakdown i got from them: 1) samsung UA46C5000QM 46inch led + hw-c450 soundbar with wireless sub + BPP1600 blueray dvd player + slim mount for $3350; 2) samsung WD8804CJA 8.0/5.0 washer dryer for $1399; 3) samsung RS21HNEPN side by side platinum inox fridge for $1199. all inclusive of delivery and installation. by far the best price i've seen. they are willing to price match from everjoint, gab, kong tai, best, harvey, courts etc etc.

still good price by any means. best denki retails them for 1499 (silver) & 1399 (white) respectively. time to make a recce trip to AH.

saw a new washer dryer (8kg/5kg ) with silver nano n airwash from samsung, model is wf8804cja (white colour) going for $1499. made in korea. very tempted.......model is so new that its not listed in samsung sg website....
