Im using Steven from IdealHouse. So far, he has been rather responsive to our request and is on time or earlier for our appointments.... Workmanship wise - I wouldnt say its perfect, there are some hits and misses. You gained some, you lose some! But overall, its quite satisfactory. I would say he has integrity! I have 2 incidents to share: (1) The cabinet door above my hod & hood was shorter by 1 inch and when i informed him, he replied that he is aware of the error and he have already requested for new doors and will have them replaced the next day. That was 11 plus at night. He could have leave it as it is and if i never noticed it, he could have save the hassle of changing them... (2) We have installed a tempered clear glass door for our kitchen entrance... and there was this small part that was chipped off and was covered with the plastic roll (the plastic that is used to cushion impact and cover up gaps) by this workers. And the chip was definitely above eye level and i could have missed it! But Steven was the one who informed us and mentioned that he will replace the door for us.

i bought mine from them...we sort of customised it (make it smaller) and we are pending for the delivery... 1 week before the delivery, they called me and confirmed on the delivery date but i reschedule to 1 week later... So far still ok... keeping my finger cross... delivery on 16th Nov

Any place that we can get the utensils as well as the bowls, plates, etc? Not too expensive... something affordable or value for money... I been to places like Ikea and Dasio... Those sold over there are very heavy! Im looking for something more lightweight and i dont mind paying more than Ikea and Dasio! But those sold at OG, Tangs, Robinson, Taka seem out of budget...

Wah! This sounds like a sticky situation!!!! Y not just tell him that u found a tenant thats pay higher rent? Like almost double?! If he wants to stay on, then match the new rent rate? And remember to sign a tenancy agreement with lease period (say 3 mths, 6 mths or 12 mths) so that u can reject renting him the room at the end of the tenancy period. If not, then u have to politely tells him that u and ur hubby wants "er ren shi jie" and planning a family now and would appreciate that he moves out... If not, then u have to lie with a straight face, that ur parents had decided to shift in with u on permanent basis even if the whole world knows that u are not close with them!

I just met up with Steven from Ideal house last week and i must say that he comes across as a very dependable and experienced ID. As we are giving our 3rm HDB a major overhaul (except the flooring for the living, utility and bedrooms), he had recommended us to take their kitchen/bathroom promotion and top up the rest rather than the package for the whole 3 room resale. Anyone has signed up with them for the kitchen/bathroom promo? And does the promo comes with the freebies (aircon or free cabinet)? We are now awaiting for his quotation and simple layout plan next week. What are the usual "freebies" that we can get the ID to give us??? Thanks in advance!

Hi All, Several Questions!!! (1) Would like to check with you guys what are the usual degree of negotiation allowed in furniture stores in IFC or Furniture Mall? As in terms of percentage discount? Like 10%, 20% off display price? Saw a few items which i am interested but the price is around 15% more than my initial budget!! (2) And what is the "ideal" deposit amount to pay so that we can ensure correct delivery of items before full payment!!! (3) How do you store your bags? I am intending to store my bags in another room and would like display my bags on a rack (maybe with a glass panel door). If i do away with the glass panal door, i am worried about dust. So how do you or your Gf/Wife store their bag? Any ideas or suggestions so that i can get my contractor to make one at soonest! Thanks in advance!!!
