So relieved to hear this Contrast is good....HTB is freaked out at the amt of grey considered. Think we lived in the old school hdb theme for WAY TOO LONG! Hee

@smallboy/wendy how come your homo tiles skirting is brown wood??? can request de ah? im having a tuff time matching the best homo tiles for the white living hall and merge with the kitchen grey floor white wall/laminate.

what is the best floor tiles colour to match with glossy white wall/laminate? Shortlisted diff tones of grey for my kitchen to toilets. Is it too much? Major white of course. can someone share their toilet floor tiles type? *headache headache big headache* very tiring to stand so long too!

Probably cos it was renovated 5 yrs ago with min build in stuffs. Quite value for money with the nice unblock view =) Tue choosing tiles.

Flatware aka cutlery - 3 types available. I bought the most typical and commonly used kind. Its stainless steel...good enough for a couple who is not having dinner at home daily. You probably may have use steelcraft stainless steel cultery in some hawker areas...turn to the back and check the label. Chopsticks none. Full set of cutlery..include soup spoons 1 doz each box. Some of their tableware are made of bone china...can be quite thin. I can't judge the thickness if its okay for microwave oven, it really depends how long you are heating things up.

My buys from Sia Huat Left to right: Steel Craft Dessert Spoon (12pcs $7.50), Dessert Fork (12pcs $7.50), Tea Spoon (12pcs $6.50), Cake Fork (12pcs $6.50) Note: Normal table fork and spoon are too big for asians so I bought dessert set. Total $28 (So much cheaper than OG & Robinsons sale!!!) Didn't dare to buy anymore because I don't wanna buy implusively...hee Oh ya...the wine glass section very popular!!! Think it will be a good buy =)

my friend did this for his 3rm flat... Kitchen long straight island in the center. Access to sink/hob can be both ways. If you build a L in the middle, sooner or later you are going to feel that is sooooo trouble to walk to/out sink. Maybe you can consider making a part of the countertop flexible to put down? (Muachiam cashier...haaaa)

@wakzool So how is the plastered/painted kitchen wall coping with cooking/washing...without backing? I have dry and wet kitchen separated. Ordered coloured glass backing for the wet only. Considering whether it is gd to spend this $ instead of leaving it bare to save $.

HDB approved my unit's renovation OVERNIGHT! Wow!!! Henry even gave me friendly notice of renovation with his contact number on it. Very efficient!

@asugama may i know which laminate brand n model did u use for your kitchen cabinets? i do not have kitchen wall tiles...wondering which kind of white suits a matte white wall

about the Samsung LCD TV...if you buy it @ a really cheap price, most likely it is A series. I may be getting LA40B530 comes with free 5.0 home entertainment system or smaller LCD TV. Sometimes shops they "swallow" the freebie...beware wor!
