Mum says the fan prevents cake from rising - no?

Hi Bakers~ Is Rowenta oven a good investment? The one without fan. Mum says not good for rising. Any recommendations? Baby belling is too big for my compartment.

Over the last weekend, the last payment was out. Small rectifications required due new doors and replacement of toilet items. I was having a freaking hard time clean old s/s accessories in the toilet - using autosoil. So smelly and takes a lot of effort!!! Decided to replace those accessories with greenish stuffs yikes...and I though I would be hardworking to clean and recycle. New heater set for common toilet and New toilet paper holder. The rest were ALMOST nicely polished by MUA~ I also found lots of water stain on my taps or kitchen sink. Things dun come in POLISHED??? Bought lots of cleaning agents for the house and this time equipped with Brasso metal polish. Hope it really gives better results! Anyway....new doors pictures to share =) not sure why we ended up choosing different tones of white. But we can live with it haha. Front and back same colour...probably white balance issue. Veneer door in Oak with horizontal patterns. All rooms use lever, door magnet and unique key set.

Ya the similar one is panasonic! The price @ Best Denki $1599...OMG! For your sharp oven, any temperature control? I was considering Rowenta baking oven. But I also want to get a microwave oven. Considering all-in-one types.

My plumber default use s/s pipes for all. Then painter cover it with white paint -Will almost cannot see it in my white white house.

@Rasp: Mine provided by henry - both dishrack and cultery tray. This is part of the kitchen package. Should be written on the quotation.

Hmm thought of doing L shape kitchen? Sink adjacent to chute. Then you place the washing machine behind the wall. This layout is pretty common and quite feasible. Plan by dividing your kitchen into 5 areas: 1) Consumables 2) Non-comsumables 3) Washing 4) Preparation 5) Cooking I really write down what I put in this or that storage while I brainstorm. Visited Ikea many times...hee At this stage, you need to be cool headed. Not important skip first. Brainstorm your needs.

We wanted a white console but limited @ S&C. Lady boss told us to check out HQ furniture for models. Came back with the model no after a mth. Melvin found the catalog and there you are! Match with dark grey or dark purple sofa...we are still comparing haha

Thanks~! Space planning in the kitchen turned out good. Even the tiles are laid horizontally to give a wide feeling. Place is bright but not too bright for the eyes. Can't wait to stay there! Mid Oct onwards =(

continued... Master Room Bright Bright! - Window films removed to draw in more light when not using curtain. Curtain hunting next weekend. MBR Toilet Vanity is usually EDL laminate with strips. Match against the horizontal blue mosaics. Shower screen. The mirror cabinet open towards the screen ...so I can see how pretty I am while showering? Haha Heater connected to inlet via flexible pipe - neater and easily for future maintenance

The finer details Kitchen Notice the purple chute? Blends nicely with the white/grey kitchen Abs trimming in dark grey I've asked electrician to install double 13A socket beside the tall unit. Then asked carpenter to drill a 3pin hole size through the oven compartment. Generally, to make electrical points more versatile. Plus I think its not safe to combine electricity + heat hee Rinnai hob is connected with citygas pipe. The flame is very very strong and hot. My hood become very very hot sia~ (no pots over fire) Remember someone asked about using safety valve. I think holding it for a short while is not a biggie.

The house is ready for handover (we are not in rush to handover though haha) but we have checked the house and found it in good condition. Now pending for doors (outsourced) to be installed. Painter may have to touch up here and there. The place is nice, bright, clean lines and cosy....fantastic!~ Basically the major revamps are the kitchen and master toilet.

Today on leave to supervise the final touches of reno. I'm so sleepy ZzZzzzz....had to roam to J8 for internet then roam back to st 24 again. * Solid surface for kitchen - Done since Monday * Water inlet/outlet for sink - Done * Overmount - Done * Door measurement - Done * Toilet accessories: Ikea mirror cabinet + sim siang choon's paper holder and glass rack - Done BUT realised that rack holder is not the same height! faint Need to go back IMM to exchange. * Solid surface for MBR toilet vanity - adjustments needed to allow basin mount against wall - backsplash "eat" away the basin space and waste hole can't align.

Accordingly to my electrician, I got hold of really good downlights. He said it is the easiest to install (of all the different lights he come across) and quality very good. Now I feel so good buying it...hahaha Made of nylon, fully enclosed...light not lost so very bright and durable!

EDL Piano white ....i think its 0.8mm cos 1mm is more expensive wor. Not the same as you mentioned. ABS is dark grey. I 'm glad I didnt use white...will look a lil too plain. More pictures from this coming weekend =) We have problems choosing the best white for the house. Despite morning dew is catergorise under yellow, it turned out very soft cream without being yellowish. I never regretted the choice

I only purchase runners. Less complicated in terms of carpentry work. I changed from internal drawers to external drawers. 450mm runner x 4 @ $47.34 400mm runner x 1 @ $46.76 Breakfast table x 1 @ $250 Total $486 with delivery. In fact now my place has blum runners and the better version of normal runners. The cheaper one is doing a good job (minus the soft closing) My tiling only lasted for a week. Prior to that is waterproofing. I only redo my entire MBR toilet and Kitchen floor. Maybe thats why time taken shorter? After laying the tiles, tilers will leave it to set before applying grout. Shouldn't take too many days. Thanks Adrian! Looking forward to see your drawings become actual masterpieces!
