Signed up a package with them. 7ft + 7ft L-shaped walk in wardrobe. plus partition wall and sliding door, 4 blum drawers 2 basket drawers 3ft + 4ft wall partition 3ft door panel FOC one panel mirror FOC one trouser hanger she quoted us $3670 Anyone who get pole system wardrobe from them? Anyone had their kitchen done by Closet Design?
  3. hi, can i check what's the length of the sofa? went down St Louis at furnitue mall yesterday, they quoted me $2080 for 2.9-3m sofa, and $1980 for 2.5-2.8 sofa withh 2 cushions thrown in.
  4. hi Tigades I love hello kitty too. hubby also fine if i wanna have hello kitty stuff for my house. but I've decided to go for the minimal cos din wanna spoil my design. I saw a hello kitty light today.... the pic is rather big, so mayb you can view from my thread, so that i wont jam up your thread. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...80&start=80 scroll down to the bottom....
  5. went to check out some lightings and saw this find it so cute. Hubby say i can have it in toilet and kitchen. cos rooms doing false ceiling..so will probably do downlights. $79 each. the lights is Panasonic brand. Auntie say if want, then better buy and keep, cos wont know if such design will restock anot.
  6. Thanks thanks. Every weekend is burnt to shop for all these and to meet contractors and oso get ideas. pinkpetter, i read somewhere, you're a teacher...pri? sec? jc?
  7. When i told hubby that i might drop the idea of rainshower. He so happy. cos rainshower so Ex! will still be using water storage heater cos the water pressure is stronger. What fridge you using? My electrical bill alone is about $80-100. plus water and gas is about $120-130 but we on aircon from 8pm till next morning 6.30am daily., have storage water heater which is on twice a day when we bathe. And a small portable fan that on from 7am - 6pm for my dog when he is home alone. Anyway really thanks for the info. currently will be using solid top for my next kitchen......cos dun like granite tiles gap. But will probably go for matt laminates le.
  8. I'm quoted 2080 with the cushion. so i guess more or less there bah. hahaha like the cushion cos same fabric as the sofa. We will prbably get the extra set to change cos we have dogs at home. so never know when they gg to dirty it
  9. Hi can PM me the quote for your WIW by ClosetDesign? i saw their website, they also do other carpentry?
  10. hi read the above post, and somehow, you've answered the questions which I've been asking myself. Been using matt laminates for kitchen and cabinets for the past 20+ years. So decided to go for a change to gloss, but having some hesitation as I'm aware gloss = fingerprints seen. But now, after reading, I've decided, matt will be a better choice. cos we are both working, no one will have the energy to be cleaning away all the finger prints. Wanted a rain shower cos everyone is using it. but, i'm just like you. will tilt my head 45 degree to wash my hair, so not sure if aill get adapted to rain shower anot. can i check, whats the water storage heater you chose? litres? Lastly, floorings. yeah. even my current granite flooring has my dog's paw prints when he out from toilet after his pee. but cos granite, so not obvious. looks like I shld go for darker coloured homogenoeus tiles and not white ones. else I will be seeing prints and hair and i will go mad. hahaha
  11. Dear all, need a favour... where can i find reasonable pricing and honest salepple for lightings and toilets acessories? Want to start shopping and look around. And also, I want to rent a small-sized lorry for moving my items. no need driver. Anyone know of any company that rents put lorry?
  12. did you get most of your sink and bathroom acessories from Poo Joo too? Prices reasonable?
  13. hi tobiki i love your kitchen. very nice. the kitchen top is solid top? the laminates is those woody laminates right? can share the length of your kitchen and the cost? Oh yah, can i have the address you purchase your rain shower? how much is it?
  14. he did my parents' flat 19 years ago. then my flat 5 years ago, and now again. And each time we pay all at the end. He didn't even ask for deposit. he is one nice uncle. So the next meet up, I'm going to tell me my budget is abit out le. cos got to factor in the furnishing. Really headache. Did have a budget, but it will be great if everything is less than that. hahaha
  15. Our budget was 60k for renovation + furnishing. hope to have renovation around 40k. then rest of furnishing will be about 20k. Will go and negotiate with the contractor again. One thing I like about this contractor, is that, we pay at the end when handing over. Will arrange contractor go down after 1st appt to do exact measuring, then he will re-quote the exact again. The last time I did my 4 rm, was less than 20k renovation. but tat time oni did granite flooring, kitchen, wardrobe, and aircon. now is MORE...and lots of hacking....
  16. oh..if beige then change it. cos beige tiles give a dirty, yellow feel, in my opinion. oh yah u mention open concept MBR, meaning the toilet door is clear glass? tell me more. cos we intend to have clear glass for our MBR toilet, initially tot of hacking the wall of toilets so that can put glass....but the permit might take some time to be approved...so dropped the idea.....cos might need to get the PE to come see, then must pay him...haha...dun wanna waste tat money.
  17. oh yah...includes the hacking of kitchen and toilets, remove the window grilles, a wall, remove 3 bedroom doors, practically everyting in the house which i don't want & remove + haulage.... For my kitchen, will also be using the 800x800 blacks tiles, so to contrast with my white cabinets. service balcony and balcony tiles are 600x600 tiles toilet tiles (floor and wall) will use 300x600 tiles kitchen and service balcony wall tiles will be 300x600 Just the floor tiles for kitchen, living/dining, 3 bedrooms is more or less 10k. I think the tiles I've chosen are ex..that's y add on to the cost. The kitchen entrance is 2.2m, whereas BR3 is 2.6m Balcony ard 2.6m too Other costs not yet confirmed: I will have a L-shaped kitchen (L portion for the sink) - includes 2 door tall cabinets - might have a suspended kitchen - Anti-slam drawers and doors Cabinets at the Service balcony to conceal the big pipe and also storage place. Shoe Cabinet @ entrance of house Wall Feature for the 40"/46" SONY TV Book Shelves and suspended table for the study room = BR3 Wardrobe for my MBR = $2-3k(depending which ID does the job) Will probably not have wallpaper though I love it. cos 2 colleagues of mine commented that unless we're very sure theres no seepage or leakage of water on the walls, else will ruin the wallpapers. - And this one...hard to guarantee unless i stay there whole year round and check every walls. so in this way, I helped hubby save $3k le.....
  18. how much are you quoted for hacking? mine includes hacking of living, bedroom, balcony, bombshelter kitchen and toilet floor and wall tiles and cornices.
  19. Couldn't sleep last night, so finalised some things with hubby... Confirm List : 1. kitchen entrance - glass wall and glass door - $1300 for glass wall and door 2. Bedroom 3 - hack and the layout will be same as bedroom 2. - $300 for hacking 3. Bedroom 3 - 1 glass wall and glass door at entrance - $1860 - for the glass wall and door 4. Balcony bifold door - white aluminium with glass panels - $1k+ 5. Black homogeneous Tiles throughout @ $5/psf (Living, 3 bedrooms, Kitchen) - $8900 6. Hacking of all wall tiles and floor tiles and cornices - $3000 7. Change the 3 bedrooms door to veneer wood with glass strip - $450 8. installation of false ceiling (Living rooms + 3 bedrooms) - $2500 Estimated Damage so far = $19k can anyone tell me if any of the above items is over-priced?
