thanks. This is very nice indeed. the planks are DIY? where did you get them? I have a unit opposite me, so If wanna do this, looks like i can only occupy a small area. These planks are water resistant? It will be alright to leave it there even HDB does the corridor washing?
-
hi do you have a closer shot or another angle of the area outside your gate? Like the wooden plank. Gives a cosy and welcoming feel =)

Wanna make sure wont kena carrot. cos my contractor kept asking me to plaster whole house. but some say not necessary. and my ID say if the job not done well, oso cant guarantee the wall will be smooth and nice. I din do plastering for my first house. but this is a resale, and cos we doing hacking, so wanna make sure the holes (of those removed fixtures from previous owners) will be covered nicely. Since we going to spend so much on the interior designing, then if really need to plaster, then the money cannot save lor.

how much are you quoted for plastering? Is there a need to? My contractor mentioned that it will be very nice (which i agree) especially i'm removing the old cornice in the rooms and not putting back any. so plastering can nicely do good to the ceilings n walls. However my ID say can just mend those holes before doing painting. No need waste money on plastering. So can anyone advise, under what condition of your walls and ceilings then you opt for plastering? I'm quoted 1.6k for plastering whole house.

hi whole house include shower? I'm using Elken for drinking. Used for a year le.

hi kaypo kaypo abit..... i read from Lilian Too's fengshui book. Kitchen placed next to dining area should be level with or below of dining. Never have the dining room in a "sunken" part of the home.
-
Thank for the reply. my contractor quoted me 1600 for whole house. thinks thats one of the lowest le.

5 room, 116sqm. I read that for kitchen, some opted to plaster over the tiles. Is it safe? WWill the old tiles pop?

from what I understand, as long as there's no pipe blocking the way, it shouldn't be a problem. if the pipes are on top, or at the side...No prob =) I'm also hacking two toilets into 1. but not for putting bath tub. Just wanna have a "wet and dry" toilet =) someone in the forum did that too. Just hope our idea get approval from hdb
-
hi. imo, if we place it horizontally, as there's no hook at the end, hence each time we pull the toilet paper, there's a tendency the whole toilet roll will slowly move out and drop. hence by placing it vertically, the toilet roll will never drop off. I will be placing mine in this manner too. Din know someone actually did this too =)

single just mean not married. but could be attached? hmm...so 35 and above, and single are homosexuals? that's what you learnt in school? no wonder nowadays sexuality education is so impt in school. Man above 35 is now suspected to be gays, no longer the "diamond bachelor"

yeah, now your reno almost done, can go pursue your studies. I'm now studying and working and busy with upcoming reno. Really not much mood to study, especially with all the assignments coming in. Think old lia...brain cell juice dry up le. So start young if can.. You mum oso like to host friends at home? Thats one reason why we upgrade to a slight bigger house. cos when friends come over, so cramp. and i like to have family over to my place for potluck. but when i was in my 4rm, can't be done much. cos govt build sk flats smaller and smaller. unlike those older 4rm, so spacious. Anyway, really hope this weekend will be your last time seeing all the workers. With all carpentry done and any rectifications to be done 美美。

another Precious Moments fans.... =) we also have quite abit of figurines, still thinking where to put them as well as hubby's HRC short glasses. we didn't get ID to quote us display units, cos our carpentry cost very high le...
-
My mum's and bro's ceiling fan also the same - 1 is big speed and 3 is the small speed. So everytime we need to pull 3 times to get to the small speed. =)

your id's designs are fantastic. If i've seen your creation earlier, and his blog, I would have him to do my place.....haiz....

I read in forums that Brandt is good. And getting 8kg cos it can wash my quilt and bedsheets without overloading the washer. Also cos of the metal drum (i think it is called drum?) it is 45 degrees tilted. Hence lesser water used and, IMO, water will not seep out easily? Wanted to get Miele, But too high class for me le. So this model, made in Spain/ France....will be a better replacement lor.
