I recently came acros HDB website saying something like repair of spalling ceiling at owner's own cost. But you can always try the town council first. The last time I repaired mine, I spent a lot of time going to and fro with the town council. I insisted that they should do it for free as my top floor flat has a water tank right above and that most likely was causing the ceiling to peel after all the years. The whole saga lasted more than a year until I said I will speak to the MP then they sent a contractor to repair it. And also claimed to repair the roof. Unfortunately the spalling still occur after 1 year and i have to get a priviate contractor to repair cos didnt want to go through the hassle of arguing with them.

Ya I saw something like that for a console. It is nice but a tad too small for my needs. Got tons of books so really need something full height yet like you said not overwhelming.

Yes in fact i checked few other sites I found but none like what Tame has got. But i am trying not to get from them. Its too pricey and I really cant stand the attitude. Will keep searching. If all else fail, will resort to the old bamboo/aluminium rods manual sytem..

Anyone has some ideas on how does a resort book case will look like? besides it being brown color? I am more keen on a white wood grain color is my study is really tiny and I dont want the bookshelf/case to look too gigantic in proportion to the room. Please help!

Hi members I am about to start renovating my new place with a modern resort theme. The home shelter wall is rather big, total wall size is aprox. W1.9m x H2.9m. Need to find a resort feature panel for this space. Was thinking of having wood strips on a flat wood backing so as to have a 3D effect. Anyone who has done such a feature or have any ideas please let me know. Of course cheap as possible... Thanks

I came across a ceiling mount system by Tame during a recent home expo where you can lower individual poles using a simple pulley system on each pole. The price is rather expensive at $420 for 4 poles. I kinda like this system as you only need to lower the pole you want and not all at the same time as that would be rather heavy. The sales person there was rather arrogant so was not interested to pursue. Now I am still looking around for a similar system and would be happy if anyone knows of one.
