  1. Hi Jamieogh, I happened to browse through some websites and saw a picture which is identical to the kitchen concept that you are planning. Hee.. The pictures are in the link below. Hope they are useful for you. http://www.homelyimage.com/yishun.html
  2. Hi risis, Thanks for sharing. I just went to browse the sharp usa site. Are you referring to AX-1200S supersteam oven? (http://www.sharpusa.com/products/ModelLanding/0,1058,2128,00.html) Did you buy this? If you don't mind, can share the price of it?

I am thinking of how to do up my common bathroom. Its pretty long, but narrow. Anyone have any idea on where to put the shower and basin? The w.c. is right inside the toilet (but the current seating is facing that black-coloured wall instead of towards outside as show on the pic). Below is the layout and dimension.

Yes, im also thinking of ways not to run it within any carpentry, above any applicances or furnitures. Most people will think such things seldom happen but I think it does happen. So better play safe.

  9. Thanks for sharing. Great to hear that the material had passed your scratching test. Seems like this is not a popular choice as not much people sharing their experience on using them. Where do you go to see the sample? Are you engaging your contractor/id to do up the place or you go direct to the silestone supplier? Hopefully you can find 1 that fit your kitchen cabinet. Lastly, care to share the price of using silestone? Thanks!!
  10. Hi risis, I am looking around for oven. Care to share the oven model that you are getting? I saw sharp water oven AX-700V, with steam, bake and grill function. Im wondering if its good. Btw, sharp refer this oven as water oven, not steam oven. Thanks.
  11. Hi forkie, I am also interested in silestone. Please share your experience about it. Thanks.
  12. Thanks Angel81 and Rondy! Do I need to quote your names when I email him? Read somewhere that he's also pretty packed recently, wonder if he will take up my reno.
  13. Hi Reiki, Wow, this is very useful. I am also clueless on designing such carpentry. You just gave me some idea. Thanks!!! Im trying to picture how the powerpoint and scv point look inside. Are they resting vertical/ horizontal? And since all your appliances are inside the tv console, how do you use the remote control on them? Open the flaps each time? If its not too much a hassle, can share the inside of your tv console?
  14. Hi Angel81, Can you pm me Yeak's contacts? Does he have a website / email which I can contact him? Or I need to go to his shop? Thanks.

  19. Hi Poseidon_gal, Its really a great view. My unit doesn't have this small window in the mbr. Hee.. finally have something different from yours. I think I roughly know your location. Are you near to the botak jones coffee shop? My bus passby this road daily. I have never step into the stadium before. Have you swim/run there already?

Hi Poseidon_gal, Sorry, I am not sure about the thickness. Probably need to wait til I change the aircon and take a look inside. And btw, we just painted the whole house (including the trunking) around 1yr ago, the trunking look yellowish already.. and I noticed that its only on the trunking that are dirty-looking and yellowish...probably cause by the condensation also. I wonder if there are any paints that won't look so obvious if such condensation happens.

Ok, I am back to share the air-con story. After shifting in for few months, we noticed that the aircon unit in one of the bedrm leaks (aka drip water from the unit). Thank god, we didnt have our tv or carpentry below it. Being 1st-time owner and didn't know what to do, we called in the air-con specialist to check. The conclusion was, out of gas and need chemical cleaning. So they pump the gas, do chemical cleaning and uses a special vacum cleaner to suck the water drainage pipes from the aircon to clear / prevent any clog that cause the water to leak out instead of flowing to these pipes. After around 8months, the same air-con unit leaks again. Hubby decide to try out on our own first, hence we got a water vacum cleaner to suck the water pipes. And it works, thou we didnt really managed to suck anything out. That aircon didn't drip after the suck. Phew! Hee.. you guys might want to try this out if you faced problem like that but no guarantee that it will work. And recently, I found that there is actually water dripping from the trunking near my mbr toilet. We didn't really notice it until one fine day, one of my envelope dropped below that area and the ink on it actually smudge. And hubby touches the underneath of the trunking and realised its wet. Gosh.. i guess its probably due to the condensation of the pipes. The dripping is those minor kind that doesn't cause a flood. Hence, we didn't notice it at all until this. After these experiences, I guess we probably won't conceal the trunking within any carpentry/false ceiling and not to have any things under the aircon unit to avoid further hassle. Just to share the picture that I have taken on the recent dripping from the trunkings. Normal looking: With the envelope below:

Hi newnyew, I see i see. Hee, my blog is so well-buried that I didnt notice its was hacked by you. Hee.. anyway, feel free to hack it anytime.
  23. Hi newnyew, Wow, you did a model for your planning. You are . Do you have a t-blog? I cant find, so I reply you here. Is your washing machine in the common bathroom? My current one from the ex-owner is inside the common bathroom. We done some electric works when we first moved in. And most of the electricians told us that this is not approved by hdb and advise us to shift out asap if possible. The reason given was its a danger hazard and high risk of 'run electricity'. You might want to check with your contractor on this. --- Sorry Preciousjam, to hijack your blog.
  24. Hi Angel81, Thanks for showing the 'insides' of your kitchen cabinet. Very useful when planning for the kitchen cabinets. If you don't mind, may I know roughly the width of the dishrack and the spice rack? Thanks!!!
  25. Hi Ocheeng, Saw that your tv console is using 2 glass panels for the flap-down. I am planning for my tv console and wondering if using the glass panel will allow me to use the remote controls for those devices without having to flap-down. Care to share your thoughts?
