merryman..banking with SCB (stand-chart) is relatively easy. u get withdraw cash from any ATM5 machines. you can deposit cash from their "cash deposit machine". transferring money from POSB shouldn't be problem, as long as you have internet banking. but to make it easier, if u were to close off ur POSB account, you could ask POSB to issue you a cheque and you deposit it into SCB's cheque deposit box. the thing about SCB is that they have limited number of machines (for cash deposit and withdrawal) due to the regulation set by MAS.
