  1. Few days ago, met up with my contractor, together with the electrician, carpenter & painter, all at one go. That day decided on most of the things, such as choice of laminates, paint colours etc. Very eventful and all of them are very friendly and easy going. Anyway I chose the following paint colours (Dulux Pentalite), Living Room: Orchid White & Black Kitchen: Orchid White Master Bedroom: Stone Cave Bedroom 2: Mulberry Bedroom 3: Moss Green Main Door: White Bedroom Doors: Black Laminates... Kitchen Cabinets: Piano White Master Bedroom Wardrobe: Regency Cherry (I think) Bedroom Floors: Congo Ape (Supreme) Electrical will start tomorrow i believe. And the plumber will install all the toilet accessories tomorrow too.
  2. Mine left with the electrical, carpentry (kitchen cabinet and MBR Wardrobe), painting. I think I will move in on the 15th of May 09.
  3. Hey shkeat, I just realised that we'll be living in the same street. I'm in street 82 too. Currently renovating....
  4. Hey, may i know how much they quote u for the 3 bedrooms rollerblinds?
  5. Yeah will definitely take photos, but currently still in a mess haha. Tomoro I'll check on my unit progress again before I go for my night shift.
  6. The last time I checked (which was on last Friday), Living room tiles and skirting are done, kitchen tiles, skirting and all the bases are also done. The kitchen wall totally plastered and new rubbish chute cover installed. Both common and MBR toilets tilings are also totally done. I guess starting today they will do all the plumbing stuff? This coming Wednesday will be meeting with Contractor do discuss further on wiring and carpentry. Also to confirm the painting colours, kitchen cabinet and MBR wardrobe laminates and also the bedrooms laminate flooring. So I guess after discussing on the wiring, I'll will purchase the necessary lightings. Already set a date (30th April) to install the aircon for all bedrooms. So far so good.....
  7. I made a check earlier and living room tiling is almost done. The kitchen wall has been plastered. The common toilet wall tiles are also up, did not check my MBR toilet though. Windows for the whole house are also up (minus the grilles). So far so good
  8. Can't wait to see how my grey tiles will look in my living room Anyway, my reno is stated to be done in 2nd week of May. Usually, you wait till the reno is totally done then you bring in all your furniture or you can slowly2 bring the furniture in before completion?
  9. Welcome Rasp! Hopefully, you'll have a smooth renovation journey. Yah and where is your place located at?
  10. yup! dropped by earlier and was greeted by someone doing the living room tiles near the doorstep. i didn't went it to check further.
  11. Yup yup applefreak is certainly right
  12. I intend to get roller blinds but haven't source for it yet.
  13. Earlier drop by my unit to look look see see. Demolitions expected to be done by today. Tiles spotted at ground floor. Weeeeee.
  14. Yeah, but if you managed to get ur quotes before me that share with me too haha

  16. Ah ok. Thanks for the info! Jimmy Textiles located at Joo Chiat is it?
  17. Anyway i intend to use roller-blinds for the whole house (excluding kitchen), any idea what's the estimate cost of the blinds?
  18. Haha yeah i guess ure too late, but it's ok basically bought the same stuff as you. Whatever i bought for the common toilet, i bought the same for my MBR toilet. Not that fussy.
  19. Earlier went to Sim Siang Choon to get all the necessary stuff for kitchen and bathrooms. Afterwhich, went to my unit. The whole day the demolition noise can be heard from my in-laws kitchen.
  20. That's good if grey tiles seem to be the easiest to maintain hehe. I have another painting, but i think i'll place it in one of my rooms. Anyway, just to check, for both of your toilets, how many taps did you buy. Can you tell me the list of bathroom stuff that you had bought?
  21. Painting This painting from Bali, I intend to place it on one of the walls of the living room which will be painted Black (the rest of the walls will be white). Trying to give some colours in the living room haha.
  22. Same tiles? Haha thats cool. Yeah hopefully with all the furniture and colour combinations all will look fine. Demolition works start tomoro!
  23. For the toilets i think more to those resort2 feel. Haha maybe because honeymoon in Krabi, the colour combinations almost similar. Initially wanted those glossy black tiles for living room, but i think dust, dirt, foot hand prints easily visible. So we chose the grey tiles, which looks nice for us.
  24. Yeah not doing wall tiles. Just will plaster over the existing wall with painting finishing. Budget haha. Save about S$1k.
  25. Ya lah, the toilet haiyo no point commenting haha.
