What I was told by the town council in-charge is that the permit is for them to acquire the gondola as using the gondola is the only way they can rectify the problem area, and it will take about 3 weeks to get the gondola. Maybe different town council different standing order? For now, I'll just wait and see, will monitor the situation. My parents is staying in an exactly same layout and is also a prefab unit. My mum told me she used to have the same problem but is unsure which room is affected.

Both my white hood and hob I got them during the Mayer Warehouse Sale @ $799 for both. Brand is Ariston.

Yup hopefully. But on the brighter side, the wall, where it is supposed to be black in colour, has already been painted and it looks super nice to me.

My reno finishing soon. Gonna move in this Friday...Guess I just have to bear with the problem for now.

Yah lor, 5 long weeks....

Managed to meet up with the in-charge case of my water seepage. He informed his side will rectify the problem but he has to apply permit for the grondola and the permit will take about 3 weeks to be approved and it will take another 2 weeks for the rectifying works to be done.

There's water seepage in my MBR! Water marks can be seen at the corner of the room (next to the toilet). Already contacted Town Council, and now waiting for the in-charge to get back to me. Yeah my flat is pre-fab, anyway anyone encounter similar problem??

Hi xherion, No backing for my kitchen. That's just a painted wall.

Anyway, I also bought a kitchen island from IKEA to be placed at the other side of the wall. As u can see from my kitchen cabinet pic, not much space for my wife to do food preparation and stuff.

Yeah a very white2 kitchen . My solid top is also in white, but not clear white, got some patterns, dunno how to say haha. BTW my hob also in white haha.

Hi gaku70, Yeah its for 18W double ballast, but i've changed it to 13W double. Im not sure how much exactly, but i believe it's $30/- plus. Bought then at brighthouse lighting.

The supreme laminates were delivered yesterday as informed. Earlier today, went to my unit and was pleased with the progress. All three rooms fully painted, with the supreme laminates installed. Kitchen cabinet and MBR cabinet works are also in progress. MBR (Colour: Stonecave) Bedroom 2 (Colour: Mulberry) Bedroom 3 (Colour: Moss Green) Kitchen Carpentry

Some updates... All 3 bedroom lights are installed, and also the kitchen's and two toilets. Some of the switches also installed. The laminated floors came on Saturday, however, it's not the one I've initially chosen (Supreme Congo Ape). The ones they delivered were from FirmaFlor. Contacted Henry (contractor) about the matter, and after making a check, I was told that it was a delivery error and will send the Supreme laminates on Monday (Yesterday). Hey, Earlier today, the aircon guys from Gain City came to install the aircon for my 3 rooms. They did a good job in my opinion. No complaint. My Aircon. Aircon in MBR Aircon in Bedroom 2 Aircon in Bedroom 3 Aircon piping in MBR Toilet Electrical wiring all done, just left to install the switches. My lights will come this Saturday. The L-box are also up. Also went to Singapore expo today, there's this New Mum Exhibition. Initially, just wanted to look look see see, but ended up purchasing quite a number of things. Main buy of the day are 2 baby cots (4 in 1 type). So exciting buying baby stuff haha.

Mid July, but i believe should be earlier since its a twin pregnancy. My wife also tomorrow will start her hospitalization leave, so can rest at home. She is a primary school teacher by the way.

Some photos of my common toilet, just installed. Anyway, whole house piping was done and the electrical wiring was also being done. On 30/04/09, Gain City personnels will come down to fix the air-con. Earlier on, I also managed to get my blinds. Lazy to source for the blinds all over Singapore, so, I went to nearby curtain shops and got two quotations from two different shops. Chose the one with cheaper quotes (the other shop quote about $1300/-). Intially it is $960+ for blinds for my living area and Bedroom 3, but i change the blinds (Pay extra) for Bedroom 3 to a 'Total Blackout' blinds, meaning 100% block sunlight. For the living area i think it blocks 65% or 75% of sunlight. I chose Black fabric for the living area blinds and Metallic Grey for Bedroom 3. Total price including installation is S$1100. Paid S$100/- as deposit. They will come down to my place on Wednesday for further measurements. Two days ago, also bought all the necessary lights from nearby Bright House Lightings. Again, didn't bother to go a distance to get the lights. All these while, I did the shopping alone. With my wife pregnancy (Now 7 mths!), I do not want to tire her out. And since she trusts my design tastes (haha!), she allowed me to go shopping on my own. Haha, so I decided to buy all the items in Tampines, save time, and importantly my energy, but money not really saved hehe.

Oh it's just black. my living room mostly will be in Orchid White and one part of the walls will be in black.
