  3. Modern Baroque Interiors deals with an extraordinary design trend: baroque patterns, gold and silver ornaments, chandeliers and baroque furniture meet with modern elements of contemporary architecture and interior design. Art and design in the Baroque period comes very close to being pure theater. Modernism is functional, clean and unpretentious. Bringing Baroque and Modernism together in style is a design challenge and requires special talent. Featured here are some examples of the ubiquitious Modern Baroque interiors in Modern setting, this is a common design trend infecting Interior designers today. Some notes to look out for; 1) Must have budget, 2) Kids/Children, 3) Maintenance

  10. Actually there is one....I forgot what the brand liao, use electricity and also got this suction thingy...will go find out and post the pic here. 11. Seriously, I feel that a lot of things or words said are unnecessary. Even yowetan wanting to check with HDB on Uncle Ah soon is useless too. As long as Uncle Ah soon didn't break the rules and regulations guidelines for renovation works, he will still be ok. So Pet and the other owners shouldn't be worry too much. As what ncy had copied and pasted that the requirement of being licensed HDB contractor, what he had left out is this, Q: If renovation works have been carried out by a non-registered renovation contractor, must they be removed? [ Home Owners > HDB Renovation Guidelines > Renovation Works ] A: Only works that do not comply with HDB’s renovation guidelines and conditions must be removed. If the works carried out by the non-registered renovation contractor comply with HDB’s guidelines and conditions, you do not need to remove them. Flat owners should always engage HDB registered contractors to avoid running into problems of unauthorised works. If the renovation works have complied with HDB’s Renovation Guidelines, they are allowed to be retained. However, as flat owners are responsible for the renovation/electrical works in their flat, it is in their best interest to engage only HDB registered renovation contractors Hope this can put everyone back to what this thread suppose to be. I'm just a natural person and not siding anyone. Just want RT to be a good information forum for those who need help. Thanks.
  12. Hi spearhawk, had PMed u the contact. Hope u benefit on it too.
  13. I do BBQ at my condo balcony. Didn't bother to check with my MCST.
  14. Hey Mackeith, I hope things are fine after they rectify? If not, try complaining all the way to the top management, big companies are more concern with their reputation. Just some follow up on my parquet flooring, 3 days ago to our horror, we found an insect nest (can't confirm what insect) and noticed a white ant lookalike inside! Gosh.. I have always heard that parquet keeps away termites.. but now.. feeling scared now and thinking of ways to destroy their community while its still small. Parquet never keeps away from termites. In fact all type wood, paper, cloth are good food for termites. No woods are termites proof.
  15. So should I also praise my contractor that can do what your sis's ID had done? Or maybe my contractor is even better than your sis's ID you mentioned as she had done more than that. Feel that you shouldn't condemn on all the contractors just because of an incident. What bout those owners having problem with ID? Don't seem them condemn on all the IDs in Singapore. Hope u can be more open minded and fair to those good contractors. And seriously, there are good contractors, bad contractors, good IDs, bad IDs....beside from word of mouths, luck also play a part.
