  1. Hi berry, Welcome. Nice layout, do you have any theme in mind?
  2. Concealed wiring do include hacking and patching back...u been 'chopped' for a $200 per point.
  3. Whether the tiles are hollow or not, they will be able to check it. Any flats that is 20 yrs old, I will recommend hack and re-tile as the water proofing should be gone by then. Any flat that is below 10 years, overlay shouldn't be a problem and in between need to check on the condition of the existing tiles before making the correct decision.
  4. Relamination cost ard 70% of making a new set. Hope this will clear some doubts. Cheap may not be good and good don't come cheap.
  5. Even with the false ceiling is installed, they can do the re-wiring also, just need to patch back nicely on the area they sewed and paint it back. Poor coordination and communication maybe the main cause, but don't worry.
  6. Different company and different material used.
  7. PE is not private engineer....Professional Engineer....Yes the cost of an average PE is around $500-$800 depend on what you want them to do....U can engage a PE yourself without going thru ID if you worry about being rip-off.
  8. $60pft and $60pfr is different for kitchen cabinet...so u need to be clear on that.
  9. The plumber don't need to hack away anything, just tear away the silicone and unscrew the two screws behind and he can reposition it.
  10. Hi mcdoodle, Yes u can, but unable to PM u. U need to enable the function 1st.
  11. Works had completed....will upload photos later. Satisfied with uncle seng and his (worker or partner or friend, don't know and didn't ask too) workmanship.
  12. Yes u can....get the switches from Choo chiang....the price is quite fixed...so it depend on the brand and amount of thing you buy.
  13. Yes, they get a sub electrician to do the job. The $ is their coordinating fee to ensure the wiring and other jobs won't crash or wrongly lay.
  14. Apply permit and wait for approval...3~5days( during this times, they go buy the material). Selecting of tiles, bring u go buy took 1/2~ days. Hacking and disposal of the debris for 2 toilets took another 3days. Waterproofing, tiling....etc...took another 2~3days. Installing of toilet assy. took 1 days..sat work 1/2day, sun & PH not working. Carpentry measurement took 1 day, wait 2-3 week before they come to install...another 2 days. So its never a 3-1week job. Not counting the days they got to spend with u on the design...etc.
  15. After 6 month living with it....I took some pictures to share.
  16. Yes got this product...very hard to said...especially the edges. Better don't use it on kitchen.
  17. Does your ID's electrician changing all switches included the clipsal switches for $600? This is very important. If yes, take the offer...if no, changing of switches each is ard $8-$10.
  18. Yes, they will come back twice. Electrician will be the 1 cutting the hole cos they know how much to cut.
  19. Yes...its too small a project and most of them will reject cos they won't be earning much so they prefer not to do....2 toilet ard $7K, study room...depend on what u doing..everything less than $10K...so how much they can earn by spending weeks with your project, less than $3K or even lesser than $2K? To them is worth it or not for the time spend....for those willing to take up the project, u still have to worry why, becos they don't have customer, so small small projects they can't be choosy. In the 1st place why no project....
  20. Why in the 1st place u use their laminate flooring when there are reliable brands in the market like pergo, etc...? 1 cents price, 1 cent material.
