As for your mum's heater, if I'm not wrong, the warranty is only 5yrs. Same for Ariston. So if last over than that, shouldn't it worth the money already( that's y my 1st question is asking u the age of the water heater)? And frankly, the water tank burst like that is consider spoil, maybe due to the pressure relief valve defective(one of the main reasons for defective water heater), it won't be necessary to be only like water not hot, or leakage at the joints,etc... if my LED TV spoil before the warranty period, then I deem it as unacceptable. Same as if u installing the beglas bi-fold door and it last the same as a normal bi-fold door, it unacceptable.

If tilting the headboard of the bed to the wall, she can have WIW. that will solve her closet issues.

Another solution is to hack the other side of the store room wall and make the kid's and Master wardrobe back to back. Then u can have what u planed for. Anyway to do a 'C' shape wardrobe is more expensive and the 'dead' space of the corners.

The space planning for the kid's room is not achievable. As the width is 3.6m, wardrobe will take 0.6m, 2 single bed is 0.9m each, space between wardrobe and bed min is ard 0.6m, space between 2 bed is ard 0.6m. So if u want the bed near the windows to have some space, is not that possible. Moreover is I'm not wrong, there should be a recess area under the window of depth ard 400mm.

Adding of points will do, dont need to rewire the whole house. DB box itself will save u ard $400-$500. As long as u r using the same switches, mending of false ceiling is enough. I did told u the first time when we met.
