  1. I also hacked away the bath tub and convert it to a bigger shower area and bigger vanity too. It do made the toilet bigger.
  2. Haha, don't worry, most carpentry know how to do it, it just how skillful they are only.
  3. Good Luck When she told me how it was done, I was like oh...ya hor...I've seen it before, those floating steps with metal rods inside that insert into the wall..
  4. Mimi, u need to clarify with Uncle Ah Soon on the kitchen cabinet...it is top 17ft & bottom 17ft or just bottom 17ft or top 8.5ft & bottom 8.5ft only.
  5. Ya it got standard size, but now the fridge come in a lot of sizes it better to zoom in what model of fridge u want to get and look for the dimension in their website, give it to the ID and let him/her settle. 2 door, 3 door, side by side, different brand different size, vary a lot on depth, width and height also. B4 I brought my fridge, I went to my house to measure the space and location of where the fridge going to be, had to add in few considerations also like the door can open how big, will it knock onto the wall, etc (Cos my fridge is very big).
  6. Aiya, that day u came I should have pass u some of the Home & Decor magazines so u can get some good ideas or design. Now only left 2 cos the other forumer took 6 magazines back with them already.
  7. Not pro la, that day ur hubby asked bout it, I happen to saw my carpenter as they are doing up a new shop nearby while I was doing marketing (every 2-3 days need to go market, haiz daily life of a house husband). They told me how they made this type of shelving.
  8. Hi newnyew, the shelving can goes as long as u want it to be unless there is a beam wall. It will not sag at all but try not to use 2cm solid wood (at least 4cm).
  9. Hi Dean, u can go to this website myhometown as one of the forumer who DIY his own 3 room flat now. U can ask him for advise or lobang u may need.
  10. Hi Dean please do not get me wrong or maybe I misunderstood you question - DIY or what? cos I do not want u to spend $ and the end result may not look good. Look to me that u prefer or experience DIY, u can of course go and get the spray paint yourself. Maybe hardware shop do sell eproxy spray paint, maybe not. But for the paint I'm using, I will need to ask my contractor on it cos they are not eproxy paint. From the website I did a rescreah, Remmers in singapore do did this type of spray paint, u can go and ask them also.
  11. Please do not get me wrong, just want to know what u really want so can give more detail advise. For carpentry, the range can be like $50pft - $1000pft. It depend on what design u want, what type of laminate u select. Gold plated, Silver, Metal laminate will cost more. Some designed laminate will also cost more than those 1 colour plain plain laminate. If u really want to save cost, u can take your design, dimension, laminate material and go to those industrial parks in spore to see whether they can do it for u not. This way u can skip the ID middleman cost or u can read at The Straits Time for contact, some of them can quote quite cheap. Hope this is helpful to u n others, if not there are always other forumers here able to give some direction and help too.
