  1. If u ask me on the cracked tiles, I can tell u that it can be replace. I remembered clearly that when doing one of the AS's victim hse, the electrician (although the electrician is engaged by the owner but since I recommended him to the owner I will responsible for it) drilled the wrong holes for the trunking at the kitchen tiles, and I replaced the 5 affected tiles. As for fencer cracked tile, its the $ issues to rectified it. If I'm not wrong, I think Henry just hope that fencer can give and take in this case cos the tile is on top and it not so obvious.
  2. So what did the contractor told u on the piping? Plastering is to smoothen the walls, not to make it level or flat unless the previous condition of the walls are already flat. And also its doesn't mean that doing plastering that the walls won't crack again too.
  3. It can be install but the contractor or electrician need to know how. Small issue. U can also use induction hob, but u need to do some research on it too. HDB max. load for electrical appliance is not to excess 3KW. The induction hob got the spec. on max. energy consumption such as 3.6KW (think it was 4 inductions) or 2.3KW (should be ard 2 inductions). If u want 4 induction hobs, the arrangement should be 2 + 2 rather than 4 and each hob should connect to individual power points rather than combine them together. Normally a household contain of 13A, 15A or 20A points so u should also know which is use for which appliances. To eliminate the problem of melting wiring or connector, it was the issues on ventilation at the back of your built-in cabinet. So your ID/contractor should advise u on that.
  4. I do agree with u simon. There are no 100% perfect renovation done and no one able to said that their unit was done 100%. Human do make errors, regardless is big or small, it may not be Henry, it may be the workers. If was to really compare, fencer u are much luckier than those AS's or Jason Goh's victims already. There are sure some hipcups and I do hope u can solve it peacefully with Henry. I'm not siding to anyone and I've no right too. Having meeting with the worst contractor and the worst house owner before, I know how both parties may feel but not knowing the full picture, its not good to comment at all but to give advise. If need to be angry and face it, why not be happy and face it and things may turn out to be good also.
  5. Like to ask, does the fingerprints had removed? What cause the fingerprint marks to be there? If still ard, can post the pic for me thks. Relax fencer, alot of things are not as bad as you see.
  6. Ya white top also have their disadvantage too...same cons as for black top. Got to be more careful.
  7. As long as your solid surface is not 100% acrylic.....stain will "eat" into it within seconds.
  8. I'm free, I go up and take a look. Anyway, got a project starting next week @ Simei...so should be quite near your place.
  9. For your 1st pic.....not said wall putty cant level it, it more costly and time consuming to do it....use plastering powder or white cement will be faster and easier but of course must have the right tools too. As for the 2nd pic...did u mean the gaps in between the frames (window grille frame & the door frame)? Cant see clearly on that angle.
  10. If you want to cover the gaps of the trunking of your electrical wiring, u should use those paintable silicone. For holes, use wall putty cab liao.
  11. What u brought should be wall putty, cos if plastering powder, u got to mix yourself.
  12. Hi mabely, welcome to RT. I do understand how zan felt when engaging a good and responsible ID. But also know other IDs or contractors in the forum that are also good too. Got to be fair to others too. I don't really mind that others praised how good their ID or contractor is, in fact I'm feel happy to know that owners are willing to share their good experience on their ID to everyone. But to deny other IDs who are good too, my personal point of view is not right at all. That why I asked him/her whether can rephase the sentance not.
  13. Use wall putty is you are DIY yourself. Is good enough already. Using plastering, u may not be able to mix it correctly and may made a mess out of it. Small gaps or small holes can use wall putty. Big gaps or holes need to use cement liao.
  14. Hahaha....I'm one of them.... No 100% perfect reno but as long as both the customer and contractor are satisfy with the works done is consider a good work. Most importantly, be happy.
  15. Since u had edited your post, I'll edit mine. Thks for your understanding, zan.
  16. Ya true, 10-20 yrs is consider lucky liao.....suan really less than 6 mths.
