Sometime cheaper doesn't mean good workmanship and good quality of materials used...the best to compare is the price and the same material used by different quotation. As workmanship mostly is to go and see the passed works done before, everyone can said their carpenters' workmanship is good. No offend to anyone, just giving my own view of option only cos my HBD done by this contractor's so call cheap and good workmanship really lousy, the cornie drop down suddenly after 5yrs. The price is quite reasonable for doing the small kitchen only. Btw, now standard must do ABS trimming.

The carpenters doing up my feature wall in the living room. Almost done...the security came and ask the worker to stop work..it 5pm already.

Hi ocheeng, manage to load some pics. This was suppose to be the study table design as I don't really like the idea of cleaning the top part. I ask my carpenter's lady to solve the problem. And this is the new design...better n less maintenance (climbing up to clean). The carpenter's lady say give it to me FOC, so sweet.

It depend if the items he use are belong to the high end quality. If not its a bit ex. U want another quotation from another contractor? Can recommend u a good B4 n after sale service contractor. Price reasonable and will break down the price on what u pay for. Moreover, she will bring u to buy the tiles from the shop n u pay there (she can recommend or u can choose the shop urself if u like other tiles shop design). So there is a lot shopping by urself n her as she only give u on the ur hse design whether it suit the color not, as to cut the middle man cost.

I prefer those ID that have no promo package, cos I believe that for that free aircon, the cost can charge in the quotation with other items. If not y in the newspaper u can see, free LCD TV + hob n hood + air-con, etc...They sure earn a lot so can give u free so many things.

If u still need, can recommend a good contractor and carpenter to u.

Actually, u can do patching. It will prevent the cracks from getting bigger n not easily seen. It do save a few K to redo the flooring.

I think it the contractor missed out somethings and when u engaged him to do, he will surely add in things that u need and u have no choice. U can try some more contractors quotation first. I ask my carpenter to get it from Blum, which is cheaper. My whole hse all drawers and cabinets cost less than $2K for the Blum system.

Are u interest to have another quote from other contractor?? As it depend on the quality of the materials used, so it hard to advise or comment on it.

I can recommend my carpenter to u if u want. She had done my flat before. Quality assurance and their after sale service is also very good. Now I'm using her again for my condo carpentry jobs.
