Hi everyone May I know whether anyone has encountered instances where bugs that looked little red dots (very very small) are found just underneath the kitchen cabinet door. They are littered below along the kitchen cabinet doors and looks like fine red wood shavings. And if you use a tissue to wipe across it, it smears red.

Hdb 4 Room Valuation At 490k?
googocat replied to s8327011z's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
The ever-rising property prices is definitely a concerning issue. HDB was initially set up to provide affordable housing. I wouldn't say that its wrong for HDB properties to increase in value overtime so that owners can get some value out of it. But to pay 1/2 a million for a HDB flat sounds too expensive. Thats equivalent to private properties prices. Especially some sellers whom I have encountered during my house hunting obviously know that their renovation are not that fantasctic and they insisted on asking for 30K or 40K COV. Thick skin leh. Already there are ppl out there struggling to pay off HDB mortagage loan. Imagine how our next generation can afford HDB flats. -
I did not pay much attention to the electricity consumption for electric hotpots....I am always under the impression that they do not consume much electricity....then my hubby bought the Panasonic 3L hotpot that can also pump out water when electricity has been switched off....water inside stays warm for at least a few hours.

Thanks Angel81 for your recipe. Although I am super lousy when it comes to estimating the proportions for ingredients (always cook too much or too little ) but I shall give the baked honey mustard chicken a try...beh tahan as it looks super tempting and super delicious....!!!!

Hi Angle81 I am super impress with the chicken. It looks absolutely delicious and professional....Can I ask for the recipe and cooking instructions from you? I am an amateur in cooking....thanks in advance!

Hi cRonk3r Just to update on the status of my Turbo oven. The service man came down last Saturday to take a look at our oven. He tols us that the trip was due to accumulation of moisture in the oven. This happens if you seldon use the oven. He explained that as Singapore's weather is humid, so moisture also gathers up pretty fast, so to prevent future trips, need to turn on the oven at least once a month for 20 minutes to just let it run. If not, future trips will also accur.... As for the contact of Turbo service people, i not sure. My husband called the staff at HM whom we bought our oven from. She was pretty helpful and helped us coordinated the timing. There were no charges involved. If u are still under the warranty period, should not have any charges. Btw, its always good to take our extended warranty for oven as advised by that HM staff. Maybe u can check on ur warranty period and call the retailer wholm u bought your oven from.

Hey Bighead Your proposal is exactly like my current situation. My MBR is rather samll. However just 2 steps across the MBR toilet i have a 'U' shape indent of 1.5m. I don think it would fit a suitable size wardrobe to fit in me and my husband's clothes. So we did a WIW. Although its not say very big after having all the poles and shelves fitted. But suprisingly, can put in quite a lot of clothes. I do realise that there are disadvantages in having a WIW such as moisturise, a certain smell (but not the 'women's clothes never wash clean coupled with lingering perfum sweat smell') which any enclosed room would have etc. Go smell ur storeroom and u will notice that there is always a hint of 'enlcosed air' scent. But i feel that the way anybody should do up their house to fit their comfort level and lifestyle. So as long as you wash your clothes properly, keep the WIW clean (in any case, you also need to maintain overall cleanliness of your home), then i guess all is well.. Just some sharing....

Hi graykitchen I actually feel that since ur kitchen cabinets are still in good condition, then just leave it and try to just act some 'missing' items to brighten up the place. If u try to do laminate urself, its very technical. How are u going to do the ABS trimming??? And also i saw my carpenter change laminate to my kitchen cabinet before and trust me, its not easy slicing out the laminate. If you slice too deep then u damage your cabinet. If you are thinkin of changing the cabinet doors to a different colour, then how to match back to the existing grey colour which can still be seem at the side of ur kitchen cabinet??? Plus my carpenter quoted me $90 per kitchen door. That don sound very cost saving......considering u have more doors than my kitchen... Just for your consideration, i have posted a picture of my small kitchen with orange back splash. My kitchen cabinet colour is grey with black granite top. After installing the cabinets then realize that the kitchen looks dull. So made a bold decision to place orange back splash...at least got some colour not so boring.....oh do not look at the cooker hood cos i haven peel off the plastic protection sheet.....

googocat replied to cohen06's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Hi Sembawangners Me staying in Sembawang too. But at the other end, near the MRT. Iused to stay at Admiralty Link. How aboout sharing your floor plan? -
Call the police again. But this time, maybe bring something to record the noise or capture the pics of ppl in the house.
-
Hi I am staying on the top floor now. But i am not using the instant heater. I am using the water tank one. Water pressure is pretty good though so my rain shower can sometimes feel like tropical rain.... Back at my mother's house (on the 13th floor), we use 707 brand instant heater...water pressure quite low.

This made me recall one of the Sunday 3 weeks ago where me and my hubby were hamming and drilling away at night at my new place, trying to rush to finish up the loose ends at my new house. With every hammering and drilling, i so scare that my neighbours will complain. Fortunately no police officer came knocking and i definitely finished all my hammering and drilling before 11 pm. But i think the part abt no one being found at the house sounds spooky. Well, i suggest to eliminate your doubts, go upstairs tonight and check things out yourself. Maybe they are really hiding inside the house rushing to complete the work.
