Actually, if you can't wait for the quotation. Just go for other suitable contractors or IDs of your choices. Rather than banging your hope on him. That what most of us do also.. we have shortlisted few contractors...and giving ourself a period of time. Those, who didn't manage to give us a quotation we just have to let go....no choice..perhaps, they are too busy...too much projects on hand...just too many perhaps. I got a quotation before who is supposely to be cheap also; but he quote us pretty expensive....after some thoughts with my wife...perhaps, he/she we felt doesn't want to reject projects but yet busy...so he/she just have to quote a more profitable quotation and see if we bite. We don't blame them; it is business aferall. So it might be a blessing in diguise in one way or another. Hmm..if he delay your HO. Use it to your advantage, scrutinised your unit as much as possible and give him a written list of rectificaiton. My two cents. On the period which is closer to HO, they bounce to have delay especially contractors based on my experience. Unless, u don't have anything to rectified. heehee. That the least we can do, since it is already delay..Trust me...the more u look at your unit...the more recitfication u have...then the more u will add to the list and get frustrated. last but not least, he is a contractor, not a ID. There are always quite a lot of things u will need to either chase, handle yourself or manage yourself. Just be very cautious and give some deep thoughts first and see if u are suitable to engage a ID or contractor. If you are someone who don't like to manage, any contractors is NOT suitable for u at all. Go for a ID. Of course, either ID or contractor will give you different set of challenging problems. *Err...just based on 3 reno I had before hor...so it is only my own view*

Sigh...what to do... Take all the free sample of the tiles you like and bring them home... heehee.. that what I did... I basically, lay all the tiles I collected on the floor.. use white light...use yellow light and shine on it... spray water... test whether it is slippery a not.. haha.

Actually, it doesn't matter which shop u go to select the tiles. Most importantly, you like the tiles and they are not your second choices. If this shop u go to.....the tiles isn't to your liking...change shop .... heehee. Hmm..if we have the time, tried to plan the route and go to several shops at a go... Have a feel of wht the shop offers.
