yo man, no problem.. Jason drove us there as we are quite nearby....so we went together to kpo a bit..I hope u and your wife wouldn't mind.. I think our flat are in the same condition when we take over.. but your is pretty challenging esp the staircase's area. That beam...ya man...my wife say cannot remove the beam..but can beautify it.. We will find some pic see if it can help u. My design are simple lah... By all mean, take watever design u feel suit u. haha. The door are customised thru Jason. Goodrich installation initally was 300.00 which Jason quoted us.. But, we need to install it on another wall today...so they charge us an additional 100.00 but Jason manage to call them and negotiate to 50.00... Initally, Jason wanted to bear the cost of 50.00, but we think is not fair...Thus, we pay ourselves. the total cost for installation is 350.00 The wallpapers we bought from China.

Don't ask me which one is mirror, which one is reflection..and taken from which angle..I listen to my wife explanation....I still cannot figure out..

15-Oct-2009 Goodrich guys (*bunch of six*) came and start singing? haha. Must be a good day for them I suppose. And they start all the measuring, gluing and pasting. They are very responsible accordingly to my wife as I wasn't there.

15-Oct-2009 These are my MBR's side table/drawers. Wife requested the back of the table to be paint black...so that the mirror reflection will not reflect out as white. But, contractor is nice enough to laminate instead for us.

This is based on my guess/assumption/speculation ya? As I didn't do cement screed before...prior zero experience on that to me. From a client which is from your point of view, I rather trust and place 100% answers from HDB instead. I can't really judge is HDB or your contractor is right....but I know HDB is law by law....very inflexible...so if is me I rather work by their so called rules and regulations... 1. Could be they rather let HDB's contractor take the responsibility of the levelling...since if your renovator finish all the floor tiling...and HDB then start cement screed...then is the HDB's contractor job to make sure is level.. Therefore, renovator does not have to be responsible for that? Hmm.. Whoever do the levelling perhaps, need more man-hours or man-days...your renovator thus need to absorb the cost... 2. This could be true. Take longer to dry up and there are certain height for tiles flooring to adhere to. 3. Hmm....I thought if you are doing the wooden flooring....then don't need to do cement screed? Renovator's job to cement it even then do wooden flooring? 4. Hmm...I read this several times, could it be your renovator misunderstand you? He/she thought u are doing cement screed for the whole unit.....then I presume levelling indeed pose a problem... I have the impression, u are just doing only cement screed for your living room, the rest of the rooms will be either tiles or paraquet or laminate...then levelling doesn't seems to be a problem. All these are just my guess ya? Hmm...why don't u called up any contractors and give them a call and ask them about it? I think is safer. -

HDB is definitely right especially on point 3. HDB engage external contractors to do cement screed and the list of rectification u requested. And yes, renovator should not come in until all rectification is done to your satisfaction. Which mean... perhaps, you should tell your contractor or ID he/she will be liable if any damage is done to the cement screed and rectification which was done by HDB? Your renovator is right on the long waiting list.. But really depends...perhaps, u can check with HDB on that and get a date/time? Hmm..can't advise u on part 1 and 2... -> This is based on my own asumption, the levelling will only be a issue if you are overlaying tiles? If you are hacking and then laying the tiles...hmm..doesn't seems to be a problem. -
I am reading the tong su myself ...but I think I still need to go down to check with the shop who sell us to confirm whether my finding is right or not; it is kinda of interesting... I am drafting my list of attendees now...is a headache..to invite or not to invite. How many tables... Ya lor....I think the June slot might be very tight for next year. I think I better finalised the list soon....or should I choose a date first and call the hotel.. Oh..the pipe is a distance away from your main gate.. So are you going to buy some plants to deco the area? The sofa, my damage is 2180. They wanted us to buy the package; but the rest of the items isn't to our liking. 2180 included resizing the sofa to 3m and 2 sets of covers. Not sure whether is worth a not, but I did negotiate with the boss for a while. Perhaps, slightly more ex, as I didn't take their package.
