Likely to go down on Sat lah.. Will definitely take pics. It always fun to see from day 1 the orginal condition of the flat..and how it progress slower...heehee. 7. Hi Dyleen. I agree with you. It is even more crucial for me especially my renovation is on-going with Jason. Nevertheless, I would like to bring out 1 point too. Renotalk is a double edge sword for contractors and IDs. As a form of internet marketing, it can spread like fires if some owners allow contractors/ids to show case their flat...vice versa, it can tanish his reputation once and for all if we proof that they cannot make it.. Of course all the writing doesn't prove anything. I love HWZ (<- hardwarezone). there have this saying. NPNT. No pic, no talk. With pictures, we are able to judge for only ourself, whether we like the work of the contractor/id. We then judge for ourself whether is he good, acceptable or not. Pictures means a thousand words. and yes! I am glad Jason is reading blog.
  8. Hi Homemaster, I am very shocked after what Rasp wrote here! Especially for a existing customer like me. There was a mentioned in your pm to Rasp about your family safety. If he did threatened you. Please make a police report. This is no joke and would also serve as a indicator to the police that there is a case made. This is not a joke or casual remark made, either he did it or not. We have to be clear on that also. This consider the reputation of Jason. How did he threatened u? May I suggest you write out the unhappenies u have with him here since this is a public forum. Using PM to just some of the forummers is scary and unfair to Jason since there is no platform to judge. It make things complicated and could tanish one reputation. I suggest you tell the whole suituation here if possible. Nevertheless, you have the right to do so or not. An unsatisfied customer from U & B Design & Renovation. Not recommended!!! <- We hope you write the whole story in the public instead of PM.
  9. If you need the seller new address...hmm...*this could be nasty*.. Let the loanshark runner knows there will be a second appointment with HDB and seller will be present, he can find him when he step out from HDB...unless he is using a power of attorney or driving..... Let them settle themselves and ask the runner don't disturb u anymore.
  10. ops! You read my mind...
  11. hihihi Morning! I think I will have a big problem...most likely I will be transporting some stuffs that we can carry from Kallang to Yishun as and when we go there. I think I will need to crawl there. lols. Hmm..don't like the feeling of engaging a lorry and packing all my stuffs and go. I think my parents will feel kinda of sad. I told them.. I am going to still put some items in the house and come back to sleep occasionally! heehee
  12. Must pay a lot of attention to your reno leh... Then everything will be "mei mei" and quality will be there also.. It will be a very tiring journey...but it will be worth while! heehee. I went down almost everyday to see my reno progress although I need to travel an hour there...but I think is worthwhile. Mine still renovating.. hope to see more of your pic soon.
  13. hey hey...congrat congrat gong xi gong xi... fast is good! heehee..So are u doing a major overhaul?
  14. My suggestion is to go to some of the flats that he has done. Perhaps, u can have a talk with the owner (*if he/she is around*). And also look at the carpentry, painting and other installations, and see whether it is accordingly to your own yardstick or ISO standard of your own. PMs few owners who engage him and get a feedback also.
  15. aiya....I am not angry niether offenced...just do a fast reply. He is not related to me..so no reason I get angry either. haha. Just feel that some times, we need to listen to both side of the stories... I also don't know what happen. That why, I can't comment either. Afterall, is reputation of a company on hand, so I feel since I am Jason's existing customer and my reno is still on-going.. I need to speak up also? I don't stand on any side la. if he do something terrible or major hipcups. He will get from me also. I am not a perfectionist..and I am quite "green vegetable"... or just perhaps, I am lucky. Maybe....I have not much complaint at the moment? Sorry.. I just saw your pm...as quite a lot of PMs..
  16. Hi Millienium bear, it took 3 days for him to reply us with a quotation. At the current stage, taking 1-2 weeks later is common with the current schedule he has. I am not sure about calling him and he reject your call. Don't we sometimes forget to return a call too? To be fair to Jason, I presume the bad feedback u received likely is Homemaster? I do not know what happen, thus, I am unable to judge or comment? Furthermore, I prefer to hear both side of the story. Just like a coin..it has 2 sides. Is unfair to base on the assumption or feedback from 1 forummer, + he reject your call, he is a bad contractor? Just doesn't make sense to me.
  17. Wah... I better start checking all my taps and screws also after they clean up for me.
  18. Har...thanks... appreciate that. Sad to say. We didn't do much about it. I did try to clean it...but it get worst... so I spray it with paint and use nail polisher and go over it... heehee.. it cover up the rust....but if u look carefully on it...it look ugly...haha..hmm...but if yours is those shiny type...no choice....need to replace. My parent end up replacing still after I paint it.. haha then I realise chrome and stainless steel is very different. Which why, we see different prices in the market. Although, I remember! the guy in Ho Kee told me is stainless steel.. How could stainless steel rust ya? Doesn't make sense to me. Talking abt that.. Mirror has the same problem... the side of the mirror has black spots as time goes by... so sad...
  19. I was looking at AJ's blog...look better leh...sob sob...nvm la..I will live with it till my next reno? heeheee. Oh...song cho is it at Orchard? I face the same problem as u beany...I got all the bathroom accessories from Ho Kee previously...end up....most of it are rusty now...sob sob. Till today, I hate to drill things in the bathroom...cause I have the feeling it will rust soon.
  20. ya hor....hmm....4cm not bad leh.....after seeing AJ's blog.. sob sob.....look like I have to live with it. sob sob.
  21. har...I thought you got special reason.. hahaha.. is more on chio thing har.. heehee. I was visualising in the kitchen of a 4 cm.. personally la, look thick to me.. heehee. Btw, bro...any idea where to get good and reasonable metal hanger for the kitchen...u know those for hanging knife and other stuffs. I went to a shop in Orhard...very the expensive.. hahaha. Ho Kee one...donno good a not.
  22. Hi Homemaster, hope everything is okie? Finish with the renovation?
  23. Hi Rasp, congrat congrat! It was always fun reading your threads. We learn quite a lot of stuffs from your thread too. hee. The worst nightmare has come I guess. Packing and unpacking! heehee.. I always feel this is the most tiring item on the thing to do list. heehee. And I always have this dilemma of "to throw this or to keep?". heehee
  24. Hmm...u have to think carefully....4cm at the borders to me might seems weird...well...but depend on your color selection and kitchen layout also. I am not sure if 4cm which (I think mean customising) might result in having additional joint line. Granite joint line are much obvious than solid surface for sure. Hmm...any reason why u want 4 cm? Hmm..if you are a heavy cooker; I suggest using granite...It would be better from my experience. But of course, if u want "mei mei"; solid surface have more color selection.
  25. Thanks. No worries. ^__^. Since we are not living in yet and the reno is still on going...we don't mind.
