  1. Err..u are right..is a lorry...not a van... haha
  2. I beri poor one...That why u always hear me taking or tong ban Jason's van home leh...Public transport I also cannot afford.
  3. No lah...I am a poor church mouse leh.. my car is my leg leh.. haha... My company is doing some development work....so doing some testing.
  4. Hi Zandramas, congrat! You have to tell Jason specifically your requirements. Otherwise, he will do it based on his experience. However, design is always very subjective. So perhaps, u might need to do some homework first and set a theme for your house if you decide to engage Jason or any contractors. If u engage a contractor, we are basically working directly with him. There isn't any more middleman..(unless u are engaging ID firm).. So a lot of decision making lies in you...from choosing color....matching the tiles...and others.... So basically, u will become the ID instead...giving instruction to the contractor.
  5. Yup. However, unlike most who do feature wall. Mine is a TV console sitting on the floor till the end of the false parition. Therefore, we didn't shift the location. Wow...you are very fast.. I was in Jason's van...and after dropping us in Kallang...He drove immediately to meet u I guess. Are u going to do a major overhaul?
  6. you kns...always want to steal my "gold bars" anyway, still early for u to decide on carpentry...must go thru your FS audit first.... we have a hard time with the MBR as there are beam and a window...we block a small window...also build a false wall/partition in order to flush with the beam in order for it to be look identical.
  7. bro...should be ok de...So long as it is sliding door.. My wife has took the measurement beforehand...is safe...I think u need to take into just 1 consideration; there should not be any drawers on that end. Just do a pole for hanging long dress or suit with pant will do. add a plank below and put gold bar also can!
  8. 16-Oct-2009 Spending the night and pasting black trash bin bags on my windows to prevent direct sunlight on the TV console and wallpaper as my curtain will not come so soon.... Is a tiring night for me....and we off the light and view our wallpaper.. haha..visualing a TV there...haha... 2 crazy person... that all folks.
  9. 16-Oct-2009 I have requested for a bigger glass cabinet door for the top...luckily the weight is within acceptable range..
  10. q6-Oct-2009 The mirror doesn't reflect any more white color from the back of the side table after pasting a black laminate.
  11. 16-Oct-2009 We left some wallpaper still...upon measuring...it would be enough to do it as a simple feature wall for our MBR.. Have to talk Jason if he can do FOC for us....heehee...
  12. thank man.. I have reply your pm.. forget to tell u also.. remember to measure your wall first!
  13. heee...Hijack the thread for a while... These floor to ceiling wooden beams looks interesting....any idea where to get it? Actually, am looking around for floor to ceiling partition...but just have no idea where to get it.
  14. Hmm...I think likely will be more expensive.. but hey... can just go and take a look...and ask ask...heehee..no harm... They have a range of selection.
  15. Bro..u can run...but u cannot hide.. wahahahaha.
  16. I check with my wife...she estimate based on the material and pattern could be around the range of 200 per roll or a little bit more.
  17. Next week! when har...heehee. I think he want to take a look at the condition of the flat of yours. Mai stress lah.. Be prepared to have more stress when your major overhaul start. But, u need to FS audit first ya?
  18. lols.. no leh...is concidential. Dsman also donno I am going leh.
  19. the dining wall alone took about 2 roll of wallpapers. We purchase over in China. Per roll is about SGD 55.00 upon negotiation. So 2 rolls of wallpaper for this wall - 110.00 Goodrich installation for this wall - 50.00 total: 160.00
  20. Hmm..*my two cents*, I check with few suppliers over in China for a while on DIY the wallpapers.. Is actually very challenging.. Hmm...upon calculation, if you paste yourself...probably u can save abt 100 dollars...but the weighted risk is very high... You might end up "destroying" the wallpapers. 1. Err..if I am not wrong, depending on the wallpaper material, u might required different glue. 2. Hmm..if your wallpaper has running patterns, remember to do some calculation how to joint the running patterns...as this usually will need quite a bit of skill in order not to waste the wallpapers. Good if u have extra in case there are miscalculation. Even my contractor don't dare to take the risk to paste for us..as it required skill and experience. Hmm...but I wouldn't say it is not possible to paste yourself also lah. hee. But I can't paste myself for sure..cause certain walls of mine is not straight.
  21. Dsman: Ya man... I don't know how she see through the little windows of your neighbour... But I think no harm trying to knock door on your neighbour and see if they are "friendly" enough to let you view their stairs...Perhaps, the current owner of your house can break the ice for u.. heehee.. I think people of our age who eat Macdonald during that period of time..got this hello kitty thing... hahaha. Coffee-O: Bro.... aiya... I was in Yishun...Jason came down for the wallpaper installation.. So he tell me he is going down to Dsman's house...so he jio me and my wife down to take a look...so we went to kpo without seeking Dsman's consent..... Hmm...the stairs...the structure below the staircase, I suspect is cement covering the bare steel structure... so maybe still have chance to leave it bare..But, I think only HDB has the best answer....50% 50 % chance I guess. Or Jason might have idea on it. Dsman's staircase is unique and challenging. newnyew: hahaha....my wife place some mosaic for the sake of forummers who visited this thread esp during lunch... Is a unsightly feet and loonnnnnnnnnng toe's nail.. lols...Please pay 50 dollar to view "raw" uncensored version. But trust me, u wouldn't want to see.
  22. We have some idea for your staircase leh. But, don't know if Jason can do it a not. 1. Remove the storeroom underneath your stair. This pic - Same direction of the staircase as your house. We label the structure as the "dragon bone"...not sure if Jason can do it in this way? The 2 pic the struture are the same....just that one is using steel to act as handlers and support...the other 1 is using glass.. Maybe you can check with Jason. My wife manage to peep into your neighbour's house earlier.. hahaha.*if she remember correctly* She saw your neighbour's staircase which look similar to our house..except the handler is steel handler.. Perhaps, if by chance u can pay them a visit.
