i mean for table top...it really subjective....but in my view...i will take it as something a must cos we expect to cook along the way. plastering wise...i agree with rierie. i do cos tempted la.n i got a v v v gd deal from uncle.it not really must.of cos if u want to have decal...plastering will make it look nicer...but if yr over all wall is not in bad condition, i will suggest to save it. I see plastering as good to have..not a must. or u can choose a contractor instead of ID...easier to get freebies. just like i got Uncle cos of the pricing..even i know i will have to manage...but i think $$ mre impt to me...so i willing tio take up the stress(me not promoting uncle hor)

no la...everyone of us have a story behind us....that y i always believe just "be there" when possible when other need u...cos we never know when some concern n help will go a long way for ourself also when we need it..

agree...sometime is the furnishing that matter. i have seem v bare house...they use cement script(hope spelling right)...v industrial looking...v nice also.take those furnishing away...soe of our house is simple. I also dont have feature wall, i also just change the film of my window panel, i have lower part of kitchen cabinet only, i never do up my study room(diy from ikea) n guest room,i dun have iron grilles ah. but i am loving my house cos in my view...it will be my"best" Rierie...stand behind me v bad meh?stand properly...finger on lips!!

dont feel that way....just like my place...it will be simple...nothing fanciful.honestly when i look at f4,ivy,amk ivy,rierie,supersimon house ...i also... But i know what is my mean n work toward that. Be it it simple, grand or anything....home is make up of happiness,yr family, yr lovely wife.w/o that..it will be just an empty shell...so what it nicely done up. U will never know what is ahead of u...who know u may make it big the next 3-5 years....want to do upyr house like palace also possible.House is nothing...home is everything. Give me a choice...i wont mind to stay in a simple house, with PD,kids n my dog ard happily..rather than worry when i need to pay my bill...can i afford n etc. Trust me...as i used to be paying high stack of loan(even much more than my reno amount,nearly declare bankrupt)...it feel good to be debt free...
