Hi New Glad to know carpentry is in progress and you're more cheerful now! Definitely the 3rd or 2nd ones on the bottom row. These 2 options look like flowers to go with your grills which look like leaves!

The settee-dresser design is definitely a thumbs up! Previously you mentioned you had 34cm between the bed & wall? Was wondering if you would like the idea of built-in storage in the dead space between the bed & wall. Then you can reuse your existing bedframe but also have more storage space. You can push the bed all the way against it and access it with top opening doors that flip up. It'll be useful to store extra pillows or bedding etc. and you can also display photos on top.

Yup king & queen beds both same length but widths different (unless you buy US sized beds then they are also slightly longer). What I mean is from the drawing, since the length of the bed is the same, the space that is affected should be the walkway between the bed & the settee or the bed & the wall (where the side table is).
-
King size bed shouldn't affect the width of the walkway between bed & TV or WIW as it is the same length as queen? Or is yours the US type?

Thanks for the photo. Yours looks fantastic. Mine ah...CMI. The joint lines are rough and some edges are sharp. Now trying to decide if want to redo but got to pay more $. Can PM me how much your contractor charged for the flooring? Thanks so much.
-
Hi Jaskel Do you have a picture of your vinyl flooring? I'm having lots of trouble with mine at the joint lines. There's also lots of colour variation between each piece and really different from the sample I saw. Sigh...

Sorry I misunderstood your statement about starbucks/coffee bean. Haven't tried one that tastes like local kopi though.

Our Hard-earned Humble Lodge For 3 Generations

Are there holes to allow heat to escape? I think it's advisable to drill a few small holes for safety reasons. I didn't want covelights initially due to maintenance issues but was convinced by my ID to do them. He covered them with acrylic panels so hopefully it won't turn into lizard breeding ground. -
Nespresso machines can only take coffee pods sold by nespresso. There are many flavours available but they don't come cheap. It doesn't take coffee beans/powder. The good thing about Nespresso machines is its ease of use and its consistency in producing gd coffee. They are also very compact which is gd if countertop space is a concern. But note that neither the Le Cube or the Essenza can froth/foam milk. You've to buy the aerocinno separately for that if you want to make cappuccino or latte etc. I would suggest buyers to read the reviews for these machines before purchasing or go to shops selling them to take a look. Hope this helps!

Does the total email size (text + attachments) exceed 20MB?

Hey new! Can u help me check with Yeak about the 90 deg tiling? I was told that it's not advisable cos easier for tile to crack/chip if something accidentally knock against it. But I agree it looks much nicer. Thanks.

Sorry I wasn't clear just now. I got the bigger 2 burner hob. It's much longer so can fit 2 biggish pots side by side nicely. There are 2 sizes available for Brandt but only 1 size for Ariston for the 2 burner series. Like what BunBun said, I can't handle cooking with 2 pots at any 1 time so that's why I didn't choose the 4 burner one. At the end of the day, you got to make up your mind & choose which type of hob you want. If you are not going to cook much then induction hob may not be a good investment as it costs more then VC hob.
-
Newnyew, I forgot to add that if u cook with VC hob then got to remove the pot/pan from the hob after u finish cooking cos it takes a long time for the hob to cool down. If u leave the pot sitting on the hob then food tends to get overcooked. Other option is to turn off the hob before food is fully cooked then use the residual heat to finish off the cooking. I compared the Ariston & Brandt induction hobs but settled for Brandt in the end. Brandt has the additional safety feature of auto power off to prevent overheating i.e. if you cook something & forget to turn off the heat, it'll auto shut off when a certain max temperature is reached. Another word of advice...Don't buy the small 2 burner hob unless u intend to have another spare gas hob. It's quite narrow so it's difficult to fit 2 pots/pans side by side for simultaneous cooking. Let me know if u decide to buy one. Will give u more advice then.

If you're keen to buy the Kohler WC can ask Ricky at Asia Excel IMM. He quoted me a very gd price (definitely much less than $900+) buy I didn't get it as I already bought from Ideal Bathroom at Balestier.
-
I used a vitroceramic hob previously but now getting an induction hob (Brandt 2 burner model TI607BU1). I find induction hob heats up faster, gives off less heat to surroundings, safer & easier to clean. If food accidentally drops onto hot VC hob, it'll get stuck & turn black. But if use induction hob then can only use stainless steel base cookware. You went IMM today? Did you see the Kohler WC inside asia excel? I don't know what model it is but it looks very sleek. Kohler is from US with a long history.

Need advice & help here. I was quoted $2600 for a 2.9m suspended tv console by the carpenter. The design consists of 2 pull out drawers (1 each at both ends) and 2 compartments with sliding doors. Is the price reasonable?
