Finally the carpentry has started! When we were there yesterday the carpenters were just putting everything together. The various pieces of my kitchen cabinet:

Bought an expensive set of soft from Shalom at the Creative Living 2009 show at Singapore Expo. We have a stack of lucky draw coupons from the downpayment we paid. Here's how many of them:

Thank you. One of the reasons for buying this unit is the high-floor 23rd. The other being the wind (breeze).

Hi Zio, I don't have wall tiles in my kitchen. After we install this and that we find that we have no reason to spend $2000+ just more a little wall. So we got our ID to apply chemical plaster on the [previous owner's] wall tiles and painted over it. So far so good - just sharing my experience with you.

I like them too. Do you have whitish floor to contrast your furniture?

Stupid me You are right, didn't see the socket below. haha

This is supposed to be the SCV point, don't know why there is not socket there.

At our request the ID has changed our switches to the larger one. Not exactly what I wanted (the branded ones) but close - so will just let it go. The old switch The new switches - one / two / three

I would believe so. I tested it out once at my current place, The robot went around the house, making tons of noise and got trap frequently. But after about 10 minutes it collected so much dust - just imagine leaving it there for 30 minutes. Wow, the house will be sparkling clean, man. I am also thinking of getting the one that can mob the floor (can't remember the name, got to search for it).

Hi pbtgal, you really need to have some patience 'coz my reno quite sloooooow. But will post it up once it is done. Expected date about two weeks from now ('coz kitchen cabinet also hasn't completed yet).

Cool! Why didn't I thought of that. My TV will be mounted on the feature wall so we can't move it around.

That's very cheap leh. I spent almost $800 buying in Singapore. Some more cash and carry/

Your furniture is very nice! Rustic feel....
-
Indeed very small. How are you going to have enough space?

What's the steel pole for?
-
You are right. My living area is marble and the rooms are overlaid laminate. So there is a difference in height.

I think parquet is a good choice. My current place has parquet, and I love it. Lot's of scratches and holes, but look and is real wood. Didn't pick parquet for my new place because of budget. Jason Parquet charges $6.50 onwards for even the lowest end parquet. How much did you pay for your parquet?
