All this while, I am staying with my in laws. We bought a resale flat to be near them as they are helping to take care of my kids.

Will start looking for furnitures.... Hope to settle down before Christmas. LoOking forward having my first Christmas tree

Thanks. Mine is Bellus. Understand from uncle, he has ordered from another sub-contractor and there were some problems. Finally, uncle got it directly from Bellus company and its already settled. Last weekend - finally done... well....almost - just abit - adjusting the switches, lacquer(sp?) the main door, some cleaning. Imagine it took about 4 months to finish up the reno works. I am glad it is over....

Hopefully... this month end.....

Thanks for your reply Mine - My painter used coloured based coat (cheap paint). The top/final coat will be the paint colours I want, for this instance, will be ICI series. I also called the Nippon paint co before, they said for best result, based coat must be white in order to bring out the actual colour of the paint you want when doing final coat.... I ever brought this issue to the painter but I can't remember what was his answer. I did not really insist on the white based coat as his workers had painted all my bedrooms coloured based coat.

Yes -I am staying in the 5XX series. Yes, I selected ICI - dream yellow in one of the rooms. So, you saw the tin was ICI?? All the 5L tins are kept by the painter. He said that it is better to be kept by him for fear the other workers may accidentally threw them away... (no choice as he already kept them before I can refuse...)

Yup! Started in late June. End of this month will be 4 months. Still waiting for my solid top....HAIZ.... After reading your blog, the painter also did the same thing - use colour base. Now, I am seriously thinking, he may not use ICI paint afterall...(anyway, no evidence)....

Judging things are still moving on your side - might not be lah...

Thanks all for your replies. Rippes - I took this photo in the day (without any light). Your tiles gap looks pretty much the same as mine. I guess probably its the colour of the grout - abit more pink tone.
