I love baking too...anyone knows of a good oven and where to get it? Tot should ask the 'baking specialist' here... What is the average price of a king size bedframe there? We just bought a king-sized mattress at nearly 3k so not much to spend on the frame...think can get one at around 700?

Yea, we met up with him around a week ago actually and he told us he can take up our project cos ours will only start work around October...if before that he cannot cos he is fully booked le... Lynn quoted me around 25k...while Henry quoted me around 19k...hmm...

Yup will definitely put up pics once it started...right now we still in the searching process...tink will only confirm our ID/contractor once our first appt is over on 17 july... So far I have met up with Lynn and Henry from ID Note..Henry's quote is more competitive probably cos he is a contractor while Lynn is an ID... Received reno quotes from Henry (Impress 21) and Patrick (Ho Bee)...both charging around the range of 15k...but got lots of things like not included...so mite need to go down and meet them after all... Hmm ok...will keep that in mind Saturday we will be going to IMM to put down deposit for our dream mattress...king sized latex bed from this shop called UniSprings...anyone bought from them before? I forgot the brand of the mattress le but they showed us the latex used when we were there a few weeks ago and it is those with holes...the bed felt really comfortable... Haha...my hubby can be quite "naggy" as well sometimes (he also admits it himself lolz!) and he has a very high standard in terms of design and workmanship. So if he finds some flaws in the design and workmanship, I think he will nag the contractor until he rectifies it haha... For me, I care more about punctuality and realiability...as in, if you tell me you can complete this in two weeks, then better complete it by then, unless got some major hiccups which must be mentioned to me beforehand...not just wait until last minute only then tell me have to delay...

Yup...I think every contractor has his/her own pros and cons ba. Just have to see which cons you can take/tolerate/accept...and doesn't mean that if a contractor is good for others, it will be suitable for you as well cos different people have different personality..

I called Ah Soon to ask whether he can renovate my house for me and he said he was in the middle of something and would get back to me...that was a week ago and he never called me back at all. Also after I read all the comments on his working style, I understand I might not be able to take it as I can be quite an impatient person (as in I want things to be done efficiently) and don't like people to fly aeroplanes...so I guess I will be going to another contractor to help me with my renovation...

I am going to call him again tomorrow...cos I called last week his colleague said he was away on an overseas trip but will be back tomorrow. So see how it goes. If can will try to arrange for a meeting on Saturday afternoon.
