Haha... Actually received another bad news today...the mattress which we preordered has run out of stock so they won't be able to deliver it by the time we move in. Have to wait ard 1 week for it to arrive. Dunno why all the things we want always out of stock lolz...they said will give us a temporary mattress to use first...then only pay them once they deliver the one we have ordered...

Nooooo... Then next time I gate crash ur house and leave palm prints there haha

Yup, I like this gate because of the Chinese character Can customise the character...but in the end chose this one because I think this is the most important to a family in a house, for everyone inside to be safe

Hehe front gate of the house is ready...waiting for hubby to upload pics ^_^ The handover of our house has been confirmed to be on this coming Monday...one week later than the original scheduled date because of the additional items which we have ordered, namely the shelf in the bedroom (which will double up as my vanity table) as well as the altar. More furniture will be arriving this Friday. Hopefully no more screw up with IKEA this time.

Yea...but will look very weird to have an aluminium backsplash just rite in front of the sink...mite consider the glass backsplash but will look nice if we do throughout the entire area...

Mine my whole living room has to be light colors...bedroom and kitchen doesn't matter. That's why most of my living room now in white...though will get dirty easily...

Haha yea beams are always a headache... Just plan carefully before you submit your ideas to your contractor ba...but do be prepared for some rectifications here and there during the process...certain things you can't really see until the reno procedure has started...

yea lor... went to complain at the customer service counter today in IKEA...luckily met a nice customer service officer who helped to settle everything and even gave us some IKEA food vouchers to compensate for our trouble... I will still write an email of complaint abt the salesperson who served us...because I think he was really irresponsible to tell us that the sofa could be merged when it couldn't be combined together. If he had told us that, we would have been able to save a trip down to Tampines today...

they now on the way...shud have reached the house already ba by now cos it's now nearly 5pm... So when they go and move out the sofa they will see if they can rectify the stuck drawer problem. Plus one of the lightbulbs I bought from them is spoilt... Now scared to get things from IKEA liaoz...surprisingly it's my contractor who never gave me any problem at all but the company in charge of the bulk of my furniture sigh

I felt like it's so ironic lor...after all the bad service we are still helping them to promote Today we found out that the person who helped us to assemble the furniture yesterday also made quite a number of mistakes...also caused one of my cabinet wood to splinter sigh...and now the cabinet drawer is stuck and cannot be closed...

Yea we using their delivery service. But the staff told us that only certain items we dun need to self push to the counter, the rest which can be found in their warehouse there need to find them ourselves and push them to the counter.

Yea lor... My sis in law who went wif us also shocked...said how come her brother (my hubby) had to push all the heavy stuff by himself. And it is really heavy stuff...all the long wood planks for the bookcases (we have a total of 4 tall bookcases) plus display cabinet and various other items... The salesperson even asked us to push the sofa by ourselves!

We are happy with everything else except for the sofa... So tomolo they will be coming over to bring back the sofa... then after that we have to go down tampines again to get a new one... waste time...

Complain to their customer service already...but still caused us a lot of unnecessary hassle lor...

Today was quite a frustrating day. We spent the whole day in IKEA yesterday to select our furniture, where we met a salesperson who is totally not helpful. My hubby had to wheel all the heavy furniture by himself using the trolleys when we found out today that there are workers there who are supposed to help. But the salesperson who took down our order just asked my husband to go and pick up all the furniture pieces by himself. What's worse is he told us the sofa that we wanted can merge a two-seater and a chaise lounge together. It was even written in our receipt that these two can be merged. So when they were delivered today, we were shocked to see that they are totally separate pieces which definitely cannot be put together. So we called IKEA and they told us that these two pieces cannot be merged in the first place...who told us that they could be? Needless to say, hubby and I were frustrated and mad because of this incident. Luckily IKEA agreed to refund us but we had to go down to their store again to get the refund and to select a new sofa. %&&*&%

It gives a very cosy feeling leh... Shud try it out when you have your new house before all the furniture comes in..
