  1. lapena, do you happen to know if the new model package has hit the stores yet? If you happen to get any news, do let me know and I'll go down to take a look. I'd like to take a look at the new model and see how it is. If I really can't squeeze any budget, my next best bet is the Electrolux EWF14991 Icon. BTW, in you opinion, would you regard condenser dryers as being more practical than vented?
  2. If you're not brand conscious and not so much an audiophile, Akira has a soundbar that costs about $299. The sound's pretty decent and you get the practical and space-saving too. Can check it out at Giant or those neighbourhood dealers.
  3. Skyblue advertise for Carlsberg, Booy advertise for F&N, now Rondy advertise for City Square. Hey Rondy, use my t-blog space, must charge them royalty fee oredi. Ahahahahahaa!
  4. Ya, most likely will engage them. BTW, is your place at Racecourse at the Blk 11 to 14 cluster?
  5. Hi Rasp, Thanks for the feedback. The 2 drawings are not done by me, its by Yeak's designer. I only did those before these 2 perspective drawings - Not so pro lah. Yes, the cramp issue is something that'll stick with us perpetually until perhaps my younger son grows older and I can convince the 2 of them to sleep separately from us. Thanks alot for your insight on the wardrobe along the wall. I'll speak to Yeak and work it out on the floor plan to see how I can work that out. Previously, I did think of doing a long 10ft wardrobe across the wall, but same issue, there'll be a cramped space on one side.
  6. Wah, that's good news. I won't be hacking the floor lah. Will just overlay to save time. Just hack off the skirting at most. Hey, how do you confirm HauHau ar? Have to go to their office with signed quote? Do they need like a specific time allowance? New, looks like Rondy's on your back to chase you for red wine.... Aiyah, Rondy, next time I go your place I bring you one bottle lah - which grape you like?
  7. Oh yeah, almost forgot about the proximity of the other blocks and having neighbours looking directly into the rooms. Frosted glass is nice. For the common toilet doors, perhaps you could explore PD Doors? Alternatively, if you have a shower screen and exhaust fan, and the front half of the toilet is dry, you can even consider the veneer doors. But I think glass still looks the best.
  8. Nottimonster, don't think the gap between bed and wall will be so wide, probably only 15 to 25cm (estimate) at most. Yeah, probably will see how to work that dead space. Put false wall or put niches or display shelves. BD, I just realised I forgot another important detail. At night we open a foldable mini sofa bed/mattress for one of the boys to sleep. So that's gonna eat the space between bed and dresser...Alamak! Guess when wifey wakes up in the morning, she'll need to shift the little fella up so she'll have space to doll up.
  9. Good to hear about the easy cleaning part Angel! Thanks New, saw it. I think once its varnished, it'll look really chio. How long does it take from laying to finish ar?
  10. Did you manage to dig up any info on when the new model will be out? I still have 2.5 months to burn so I can afford to wait and see.
  11. Yes, PJ it is. But I think probably we'll be OK cos' got enough 'training'. Every morning also we have less than a 45cm tile space to get our clothes due to the placement of our kid's bed between ours and our wardrobe.
  12. Thanks Rierie, hopefully once the current owners have cleared the space, we'll go on-site again and try to mark out the space. *fingers crossed!
  13. Rierie and Nottimonster: Thanks for your feedback and advice on the bed sizes. The width will be an issue to the side that's closest to the wall and also the between bed and settee. For the former, I think I won't even have 15 or 20cm space. Perhaps I shall just leave that as 'dead' space and do some shelves above it, or perhaps partition with niche spaces to put stuff like wedding photos etc? For the latter, I think there's still enough space and Yeak and Pet was saying it may be quite nice with everything blending together from settee to dresser.
  14. Yes Ivy, I spotted that too! I wish the wardrobe could really walk when needed and give me more free walking space! Ahahahaha!
  15. Yup, the small, tight space will be very cramped. Wife was suggesting perhaps it'd be more feasible to remove bed frame and construct a platform instead? But I'm not sure I wanna do that though. Its like cramping the room even more and making it blocky. Rondy and Skyblue: For a minute I thought your MJ session meant Michael Jackson karaoke. Then I realised its Mahjong!
  16. Thanks Pet, I like the layout alot too. Guess now it'll be quite close to the earlier idea we had. But I think the designer was quite generous with the actual available space in her sketch. Somehow when we're on-site the space looks super cramped compared to plan. Maybe once I get keys I should go do markings with masking tape to get a better idea.
  17. BD, Yeah, the small walking area will be something to get used to. I think the side of the bed closest to the wall will not have any walking space since our bed is a king sized one. Haiz, so I think to go onto the bed must be from the front or other side. Closet size will be 6ft + 2ft in total due to the L-shape.
  18. That's the 'health hazard' of viewing RT at work. Many times my colleagues also give me funny look or wonder why I'm smiling or laughing to myself. Must be enjoy work too much or stress until siao! But without RT at work, I think I'll also go siao ar .... no stress relief and the office is too quiet and serious!
  19. Beany, are you planning to do an open concept toilet too? It'll look really great.
  20. Heya New, Great drawings. Surely you make life easier for Yeak then you can chochok for discounts or freebies! No worries about delaying our meeting with him. Its better actually cos' you gave me some time to eat dinner and shower. I reached home only at about 730pm and thought I was late. Ahahahaha .. must apologise to all the drivers I cursed on the way home. How's the parquet so far? I think I'll go with parquet too after hearing the feedback and views from Malcolm on Saturday.
  21. Heya Neighbour. Good progress with the carpentry! Looks nice. Well-planned kitchen.
  22. Just to update if anyone's interested, the new activecare package which bundles both the W1740 and T7760C for $3,888/- is close to sold out as well. All that's left is one new set (as of now) and possibly 2 display sets which will go at further 20% discount (At Best Taka and Tangs). Tangs is the place with the last new set, and it also comes with a free Miele vaccum cleaner (S4212). I was just there earlier to check it out. Decided to wait and see the next promo, as it will be for a newer model.
  23. You can enlist the services of my kids. They're the professionals when it comes to jumping on beds and would be more than happy to oblige. Lagi best, they're both boys! Ahahaha!
