I am looking for a LED replacement for my 40w G9 Halogen bulbs. Any idea where I can get them? Seems like the usual lighting shops don't carry them. tks

i agree. i wouldn't mind paying a one time charge to buy and setup the equipment and then have full total control on when i want to activate the system. by signing on a security package, u are tied down to their system and thereafter, they will come and ask u to upgrade as they no longer support the older model that u have. hence for me, i just need a simple set up that alert me when there's a break-in so that i can alert my neighbours. good thing is, i have good neighbours that help out each other.

Per above, is there such a device that is standalone with need for wiring and pay hedfty monthly charges? I have someone at home most of the time. The only time i need a home security system is when all of us goes on a holiday. All I need is for a standalone device that can send a alert to my mobile phone whenever there's motion detected within the confines of my home. I don't need any of those survelliance cameras or alarms etc. pls help.

i've those hairline cracks on my new walls too. if you have some left over paint, and those paint after a while will harden into a paste like consistency. do not throw them away. they are good to fill the cracks.

Hi, I am looking to diy my water feature as I am constrained by the place where i am going to place the water feature. Those off the shelves ones taht we've seen at Far East and Fukai are too big. I came across this site that has the corrrect fibre glass tank, and all the necessary pumps SingaproeGarden But it doesn't sell the bricks. is there a place that i can get good and cheap bricks? Far East tends to be costly. Can I connect various fountains to 1 pump? where did u get your stuffs for your water feature? tks.

just to contribute my holdhold system. both wife and me controbute 10% of our salary to a joint acct. if any bonus, 10% of that goes into the joint too. this joint acct is for groceries, kid's expense like tuition, insurance, parents allowance, utilities and her car loan. some other household goes to my credit card giro scheme. these things i do not claim back. husband and wife cannot be too picky. i bring back a fatter bacon, so right fully, i should be the one paying more. during our last reno, i paid for most of the applicance. we both have a rough idea of each other savings. i think she is more clueless to mine as mine is spread over a few banks. we celebrate each other's bonus and increment as we know the household will get more. we do not know each other's PIN number. Our joint account needs only one of our signature. we been though our own ups and downs and sort those out. money can make or break a marriage. best to get it sort out before getting hitched

we came across this hob on promotion at Expo. must say the salesman was quite convincing. The actual company that brought in this hob is Roman. The same company that has booths in malls, heartland shops that bring in the blue mop, clothes rack and other household stuffs. Too bad they employ the same marketing tactic to sell such a high price product. I don;t think there's anything wrong with the product itself. VC is not exactly new technology, hopefully, the product is covered well by a good warranty to service the sensor switches, elements etc which will normally spoil first for ALL brands. As long as your home can take the power load, i don;t see why you need to give up the $100 deposit.

i bought BD560, just launched during the recent IT Show. Bought it at $299 with 3 free BD titles. They have a wireless model that cost a lot more. Most shops are clearing their 300 series. I chose this one because of it's seamless link to my LG TV. The network point is the internet point. Starhub point is usually referred as cable point. U need internet access (wired or wireless) to enjoy the new BD 2.0 features. (google them)

would be easier to also have those cordless power screw driver. makes the job a lot easier. just follow the included instructions closely, there are holes where screws should go and some for the wooden pegs.

depending on the size of your living area. having said that, i had the 44" KDK in my previous apartment living room. the width of the living room is about 5 to 7m wide from sofa to TV (can't remember). And to me, it's ok.

just bought a LG blueray player to go with my LG SL90. the blueray player is able to automatically linked with the tv. just pop in a disc or plug in a portable hdd, the tv will detect thru "simplink". The player has network capability and can play Youtuve and other online stuffs. of course u need to have a network point at your tv console to make use of this feature.

sounds expensive. does that include hacking and concealing conduit? if just run trunking on wall, the charges mentioned by the other bros here is more reasonable.

mr using the SL90 47" for the past months. Picture wise, it's definitely better than my 6 yr old Pioneer plasma 42". Sound wise, still can improve. Feature wise...still haven't explore fully, but can insert thumb drive and watch divx (and other formats) directly.

KDK anytime. i have 2 of the 44" in my 2 smaller rooms. was using the same model in my old condo for all the rooms and living room. My bro's Elmark just broke down...after 1 year.
