reno is slow due to the delay in the rewiring work. but it's still alright for us as we are not in a hurry to move in. what flooring? flooring is marble and will only be polished during clean up, before carpentry. as mentioned by others, you can if you wished to, just pay a little more $. but imo, no point la, tile already also cannot be seen. i think it looks big cause it is still empty. when the cabinets are up it will be a different story. tell that to yeak and he will be delighted he's very proud of his tilers.

Din know there are so many people who stay in Yishun. I'm a Yishuner too, have been living here for the past 20 years...

Updates Hasn't been updating lately due to no much movement for the past few days. Don't be mistaken, it was not Mr Yeak's problem but ours instead. Tiling was already done last Saturday and plastering on Sunday. Painter guy also came on Tuesday afternoon to give the house a coat of oil based sealant. The next step left is to do up the wiring. As we are rewiring the entire house, FIL has engage his friend to help out whom can only start work on this coming Tuesday. So from tuesday onwards, we expect the reno to be in full swing again. Anyway, this weekend also let both of us have a good break in between the reno. =) Anyways, here are some pics of the current state of the house. Kitchen - tiles and low wall up. grouting? no lei.. grouting almost done liao.. will try to take pics tomorrow morning cause the whole house now only left 2 fluorescent lights which made taking pics at night sux. the tiles need time getting use to. high 5. but we feel it's pretty hard to maintain as it's matt. gets scratched easily as compared to normal glossy white tiles.

comes with a price one.. and that is a smaller and no open concept kitchen. tiling should be finishing seven seven eight eight by today, but ah hui says tuesday.. dont know why, the swee part i think he refers to the plain glossy white tiles at the other side of the kitchen. that one is really tile till very swee.. no grouts at all.. make us kinda regret not choosing the plain white tiles for the entire kitchen.

Didn't went up last night so no pics on progress of reno. Since nothing to post, might as well post the final layout that we'll be doing.

lol, no horse run.. i'll let him know when i see him and he'll be delighted. actually he's part of the reason why we chose mr yeak HO dont know lei cause i never ask. ya.. trying to make the place bigger.. you can say you want the tiler for BB st52 one or tell him you want the famous tiler, and he will know.. thanks. still trying to get use to it. he recently has another ongoing project which he employed another grp of workers. but he told me he will use the same group of people for jobs from the internet. so most of the people here shouldnt worry too much.
