Finally... everything is in! The mirror for the wardrobe is installed and the plumber came. My taps and bathroom accessories are in:) So now it's move-in condition. Pending are final check to be done by the Electrician, painting touch up and the final cleaning.... Overall quite a smooth journey... I think I might not have time to update for the next few days cos will be very busy with packing, cleaning... I will try to write my reviews on the Electrician, Carpentry, Solid surface, Tiler, Laminate flooring, plumber and of cse ID Note later hmm... maybe weeks later. Give me some time ok? Need to test the stuff for at least a few days... Now everything still okie.. the real test will be when I start using it.... Here are the photos taken today: Mirror for wardrobe Plumber at work (Quite a nice guy..I asked him to drill this and that including clothes hangers for the 3 Bedrooms and he kept saying no problem with a smile. He even enact scenes of bathing, doing big business to test out the accessiblity of the placement of the accessories which I have indicated earlier on and advised me to change accordingly) Kitchen tap

Hi Mae, Admire your energy level... Your life is so fulfilling and packed with activities... Everyday when I off work, I'm like a dead dog... BTW, May I check if different masters will have different reading on one's baZi? I received my Bazi report when I did my fengshui audit and what was indicated in the report seem to imply that I'm a practically a no luck person throughout my whole life. Very sad just thinking about it....

Yes, 1/3 blocked. No choice, that's the best place to place it... That's y need custom-made. My shoe cabinet has the normal shelving. Not the zigzag type. Crystal home shoe cabinet very nice..especially the slim ones... But I'm too lazy to outsource to another vendor to do it. Any problem just find one person. Henry's no is now my most frequent dialled no. The wires is for ceiling fan... coming in on monday. Correct. Ely, wait till u see & feel the actual products... Super sleek... My kitchen doesn't look 44ft... I must use measuring tape to measure... in case Henry bluff me... Ha! Ha!

The day to the HO is coming nearer. Mixed feelings. Excited yet sad. Excited that our dream house is coming to reality... Sad is because we will need to do a lot of housework if we were to move. Staying with inlaws have many plus points. No housework.. Breakfast and Dinner well taken care... (thou my FIL's cooking sucks, but it's still healthy home-cooked food). Wonder how we are going to manage if we need to spare 1 day for mopping, sweeping and cleaning.. On top of all these, I still have laundry and ironing... Hubby was commenting that we didn't really do much reno and Henry still needs 8 weeks to complete it and costs so much $$$. Well, his so-called 'never do much' includes hacking and re-doing everything... Painting, 2 toilets, 44 ft kitchen cabinet, 1 Island, 2 TV Consoles, 2 wardrobes, 1 Tall Cabinet and 1 Shoes cabinet. But the hse does look bare to us.... Hope no more 'empty' feeling when the furniture are in

May, no worries... It's a high class trash bin.. I won't mind being associated with it. Brought my colleagues to Novena Square Homefix shop to see the one we like. Everyone took turns to scold me for being 'wasteful' and 'bo liao'. 'Buy ex trash bin... very rich is it?!' So I think I won't be getting. Sure kenan 'scold' again during house warming... sooner or later words spread to my in-laws' ears will be siaoz liao... Here r the preview of the carpentry works:- TV Console cum tall cabinet Masterbedroom Wardrobe cum TV Console Kitchen Cabinet... See how high my ceiling is... My hubby's is 1.72m... I'm only 1.5Xm... I think the ladder will be a permanent fixture in my kitchen....
-
And I will tell mum ' u rather buy a $200 trash bin for me then to give her the $$$' See who is the final winner ...Ha! Ha!
-
Mae, thks for the support:) Ha! ha!

Just that I thot the topic on the $200 Trash Bin was over yesterday, I received the following sms from my bro <unedited ver>: 'I will not buy u a $200 trash bin as housing warming present. Anything but a 200!!! Trashbin'

I like the way u descibe ' simplehuman is not so simple afterall'. Ha! Ha! Yah..very ex.. so cannot go for so many 'simple' stuff No worries. Thanks. I think my mood will be better once I see the car back in good shape... Will try to take & put up more photos once we settled the urgent stuff.. I know what u are eyeing cos my hubby has been playing with that $200 trash bin in the MS store. I gave him that 'stare' so that he won't even dare to ask if he can buy it... But if u put one of it in your hse, we will all know that it's a $200 trash bin.

I will be mounting it just beside the sink area which is below the balcony window. It too ex to 'hide' inside the cabinet... Kekekeke... Will take photo once I get Henry to mount it ...

I think our contractors must have treated us as carrots so they kept recommending this & that... Chop us here and there...Beauty comes with price.... -
Thanks! Thanks! Yah..lucky the reno is going on smoothly which sort of kind of comforting... Yes simplehuman stuff not cheap in S'pore but the designs r very nice. I bought the plastic bags holder. Now eyeing on the trash bins. Kind of regret not getting the $39.90 soap dispenser in MS cos City square Homefix still selling it at $79.90! But even if I buy it, I also don't know where to mount it to... I have one free one from Royal fanco..Of cse not as nice as this lah...

Thks for asking Yah...he is fine.. Car still in workshop..shd be able to pick up by late afternoon. Just heartpain on the $$ lost...

Marshmallow, wah Henry double standard leh... He insisted that I box up my masterbedroom and balcony piping! When I said no cos too $$$, he said not nice.. In the end, we compromised. Box up the master toilet and balcony remains. -
I suppose the white sheet is to act as a cushioning to prevent the hollow sound?
-
Didn't take photos yesterday cos it was a sad day. Hubby met with accident in the afternoon. Thou minor but money gone cos he wld need to compensate the car in front and the repair cost for his bumper. Also, last nite received another call which require $$$ as well...Sigh.... what a day.. Hope today will be a better day.
