ok i seriously lost track of what is done when so wherever i can i will indicate. if not, i won't. i think this is still on 13 may. shower area wall - still not completed as they did not order sufficient black tiles. so gotta wait. upside is, my floor tiles are done! my WC area i did ask the tilers if they can fabricate some shelving from the tiles and the master tiler said its possible but should i choose to remove it, it will damage the tiles so he advised me to get those common accessories, since the only damage done will only be small holes where they drill and its easily sealed with putty. a good note for those considering the above.

guy77!! your progress is like some rocket! esp the tiling! mine only more or less done after 2 weeks for the kitchen wall tiles + WC + Shower + living room! yours like, ZOOM! ooo jealous leh!

teehee, actually the skirting is done! i took a pic for ivy to compare against her bui bui and to let uncle see if need big. hers too bui bui till its aesthetically not pleasing! i have this idea that my tiles should be quicker since all are 600 x 600 so lesser quantity to stick but the china worker i asked said its harder actually. not sure la. the way they're working now is 1 person 1 area, so the master tiler is doing my mom's room while the china worker is doing my kitchen. the other uncle.. a bit slow and looks very "mo" to me, he is doing the WC & shower area.. which is completed! so i dunno what is he doing inside. :/

hahaha ya i think i will prolly buy just 1 more to keep since they are mostly solitary but look so cute!! anws!! i just read back and wow u lucky girl, addicted to it huh! i can understand cos i am partially addicted but i dont feel like im very in control somehow!! maybe cos the carpentry isnt much, so not much to control per se?

i dont know!! i went to buy food for it but it doesnt eat the dried bloodworms! got it water snails and it did eat them but today it died!!!!

i feel its a little slow! think the magic will kick me in the head when carpentry comes in. heh.

pet we went for 600x600 as we wont be washing the kitchen flood style. even if we do, it shld be annually so its fine. and like what u said, the tiles will be flushed accordingly to the line. (but kinda regretting getting such.. rough tiles) :x familyof4 in all fairness, my house is so small! maybe just 3/4 of your living room. it has to be fast in that sense! i've got just 2 rooms and 1/2 of the kitchen tiles to be done then we're good to go for carpentry! guy77 ya mine are relatively well done, just wondering why the grout is already "yellowish" when its supposed to be white. hahaha u're like me, touch and feel happy.

oh my pufferfish died today!!! i used to have guppies but since i saw the mommy guppy eating her baby i got a little turned off.

familyof4 im getting blum tracks, not the tandem box tho. not sure if he knows what to do. he talked until i really totally forgot! and my kitchen cannot do pantry. firstly its too small and he is worried cos my hob will be close to my pantry.

cannotisit yup jason, the carpentry guy, said it should be in by 24 / 25 May. hoping its all in time. pinkpetter yes pet its 600 x 600! same as our living room! familyof4 i think it will be better once carpentry is up! growler ya i believe it has all been tiled! even the area where i have a partition wall installed, the floor is tiled and the explanation is in the event that we choose to remove it, the floor is still intact. very thoughtful. guy77 you're doing full height too? its very satisfying!!

i met jason too, he drew for me on the spot too. but familyof4, did u tell him how u want your kitchen to be? i keep forgetting what i want to tell him cos he keeps talking. >.< and i want those drawers where i can fully pull it out. but i didnt tell him. did u?

to add on, u can also look for me to help out with reaching uncle. my house is mid way done, out outstanding payment is still approx $10k. hee!

Updates from Tuesday 12 May Tuesday is more of doing the minor details day to me, nothing major done i feel. working on the tiling for the wall near my windows, pity i dont have $$ for white windows. my current windows have been with us for 10+ years. and yes the nice smooth cement base! a closer look on the cement base rounding up the corners on the tiled areas around my shower + WC area - BEFORE all done! - AFTER! but 1 thing is that the tiles are not cut very nicely but the tiler guy told me after applying grouting, will look better. what to do, master tiler did say his handiwork is a bit on the rough side. oh well. our floor tiles! we are going for the one on the left!

aiya i am slow to blog, now the beam has also been tiled! thats how slow i am. ya lets cross fingers and hope we dont grow too fat for my toilet bowl.

Updates from Monday 11 May My wall tiles are done for the kitchen! Majority at least! uncle tiles the part where my kitchen cabinet is covering it too. the wall leading to my shower + WC cement base for my WM, kitchen cabi & fridge done up! they've also applied the cement to my floor in preparation for my floor tiles. slow and steady progress!!

crizto makes toilet bowls? mine is meiye, some china brand which desmond of asia excel balastier recommended. i'll trust him on this. i called him, he said that all toilet bowls are off standard sizes, doesnt really make a diff... hmm..

but which one are u using now? i have a problem, jason ask me to get them to deliver on mon but since im home today i told them to deliver it today! let me call jason to ask him what exactly he needs.

elane1311 all in all i paid $2K. let me list what i've got for that price. - fujioh tempered glass hob - fujioh slim hood - franke sink and mixer tap (no use for me for the mixer) - meiye toilet bowl - square basin - basin tap - 15L Alpha storage heater (with 10 years warranty for leaks!) - 3 way rain shower ivy im starting to worry about my toilet bowl. its really quite narrow. my mom and i we're slim so its ok. but dunno if i wanna get another model. your baron one is from asia excel?

oh i see. i spoke to jason on thurs night. this time in case he comes late or sthing, i went shopping first with my friend at bugis village and only left when my mom called to say he reached. the floral motif wallpaper not cheap u know pet!! and i am worried it might just go out of style. jason suggested that i take wood grain laminate so i agreed.

i second the idea of a PA. even i dont mind helping if he pays me too! but really he keeps taking on new biz, i think its hard to juggle. he shld come up with departments eg he does the frontline work of getting biz n quoting, passing on hacking stuff to elder brother, carpentry to jason, then perhaps either himself or assign his protege to handle rectifications. will be much more effective that way. plus ivy, i think uncle is like yous boss now. he is doing that 1 thing in 1 call cos he simply cant remember all now. growler, with uncle i also give and take. i dont really call him unless i have to, if not he will call me. there are times where he missed my calls and dont return, i just let it slide. at the end of the day if the reno is ok with minor rectifications, not counting your toilet door as minor, i can live with tt lar.. i think i gotta play cheat a little here, try to delay last payment perhaps? to get his attention for the rectifications, if any.
