i cant say im uncomfortable with him. just that i have never seen his works. at least for ah di i have seen it from familyof4's blog. uncle told me i can go and see but its at woodlands. i told uncle i can wait but he still say cannot. -_- another weird thing is since uncle is so busy, he has not told me to call joseph either. i thought he might as me to call him or send him down so i can talk to him direct of my minor rectifications and get things moving. in the end i called elder goh, and elder goh told me to call him instead of uncle.

still gets me wondering, why cant i be assigned ah wei. **** weird! why keep pushing ah di to me? must say ah di is quite on the ball. but input of design wise? like 10%. growl.

ya initially wanted to place the bed along the wall but now doing an L-shaped table at the corner so i have to place my bed elsewhere. the next position is to have it run opposite my wardrobe. so the 56cm allowance is from the recess to the start of the bed frame. seems cramped. now i realise how small my house is. and it feels like after doing the reno, there's not much design elements to it, just mostly updating the materials used at home like from rubber tiles to tiles etc. must buck up for my shoe rack to maybe have it bring life to my living room! wish me luck!

B&W throughout. hahaha!

nope. the ah di assigned to me looks nice and very soft spoken to me. he sat down with me for almost 2hrs going 3hrs to discuss the carpentry. not snobbish at all. i still think its best to view his work before i engage him so i dont waste everyone's time, be it uncle or ah di.

no la not upset with tiles and grout. just wondering how is he gonna do things when all my things are in the house. my only unhapiness is prolly the carpentry. but gotta move on.. move on...

tile and grout got problem. some grout have holes which tiles are uneven. they kept telling me its cos my floor not even. well if its not even and u hacked it, im sure u have a way to make it even! i think i have to bring it up to uncle before the polish. no point polishing when there's still uneven tiles. when i magic clean, the broom will hit the tile. >.<

Question! now the reno is at a standstill till tmr. i have a qns for all, when i first moved back i realised that my bathroom & WC floor tiles are quite slippery. decided to test it first and yes i slipped a bit last night while coming out from the shower. despite picking tiles that are slightly rough, it is still slippery. any way for either myself or uncle to remedy it? pet: wait for my before and after pics. real shockers. reiki: i believe both of us like zen feel to our homes! my idea of zen is to have more earthy tones while black and white to me leans more to modern simplistic contemporary. so here's the design dilenma. i like bright spaces so i didnt use any earthy colours throughout the house. mostly B&W. now that i have to do the shoe rack in living room, how should i pair the colours? my sofa is in brown, altar is in dark walnut color, walls is a smoky light grey with white ceiling, floor is whitish and tv console is BW. any ideas for the shoe rack? cannotisit: in a while after i've cleaned up! oddly i did not seem to have much. let me dig around. cant be so little.

i got a couple of tiles that is uneven and has that cut leg feeling. some minor, some major. can i request for those to be changed at this stage?

sorry fannie, i didnt mean to rain on your parade.. just cant help but feel depressed. im happy that you got ah wei and therefore the better works. in a way good that others can read my experience and avoid it. im happy for you that u got great works from ah wei. worth all the waiting and every penny spent. as for myself, i will talk to uncle about showing me ah di's works first. if really still cannot and ah wei is not available, i rather not go ahead least i have to live with it and look at it all day long. my tv console is enough. its not bad to a point where its unacceptable but its just not what i asked for. like ordering a cheeseburger and getting a chicken burger. still edible but not what u want. dont mind me.

i am really upset and disappointed. how not to be? if roles were reversed i think you would be too. im dont feel confident with ah di, unless i see some of his works. initially ytd i was excited but today i feel a little uncertain. why cant i just wait for ah wei if im willing to? i think i better re-think all my carpentry now.
