(from previous post by you..) anyway, i really dont see the point of going on with u endlessly, mindlessly. yes a forum is for open discussion, and the issue with uncle and his permit is really his problem not mine. so whatever the actions yowetan wants to take against him, its really not within my means to control nor do i see a point to comment on his actions.

yup, understand. that is why every of my weekend is burned doing all the rectifications and it seems to be dragging on forever. i refuse to waste further leave and the best thing is to get them to come in on sat so i can see them and supervise the works overall. fyi, i also patch up my own grout!! hahaha im so DIY now. :] even if laminates, u still got to trim it or else same problems will surface. if u want them to do it at the factory, i think its gonna be tough. that means they have to dismantle, bring back to factory, do it and come up again to fix it for u right? i did not check on my tiles actually. did not knock all 1 by 1 to check for hollow tiles, so far all are solid. and i have had experience of scratching. my poor sink is very very scratched. initially partly scratched by the workers then after using,more scratches. i expected franke to be better and have less scratches. tsk. [bD if u are reading, any news from desmond about the inox cream for franke sink? ] and its too much that they use the towels!! i know they freshen up before leaving for the day but towels? sounds scary.. *looks at my towels* cheer up gaku, i hope your rectifications goes well. since so much money have been poured into rental etc, can u stress uncle a little to get them to change the scratched stuff for u be it to replace or to bring to factory to redo? it is only right that we get what we paid for.

tell u guys ar, its really all these sub con giving tons of headache. chup until like that. scratched the table (shucks, should have snapped a pic) still want to use silicon to patch. its like a case of lawry's mis-drilled holes where the ID just got the carpenters to use silicon to patch and that turned yellow over time. uncle dropped by ytd again, i brought it up to him and even he said, aiyo how can they use silicon! and he called ah liew on the spot to tell them what to use to chup and that using silicon is wrong! -_- yes gaku, im sick and tired of seeing the previous guy (ah mei) using his infamous liquid paper and ah liew using paint pens. u know, they way i see them patch things up with that pen? i told them, forget it, gimme the pen, i do it myself. haha on saturday, i patched the door frame as elder goh added it for me, re-painted part of the main door cos i felt it was fun and halfway i just passed it to his ah neh. gaku, who is your carpenter? actually it was explained that to paste over with new laminates its easier. but since they need a machine to trim the edges, they can only do that in the factory. if u want them to paste, its easy. but problem is when u use it, and if your clothes get caught in the corner by the laminate, this will cause it to peel. regarding hollow tiles, why did they not cut it out to paste for u again? over at my house, all uneven tiles and this 1 hollow tile was promptly cut out and replaced. maybe cos i can take the dust? reiki, well actually my house is kinda in a stasis. no real completion yet cant call it uncompleted. to be honest, at this point in time i am simply not in any mood to accommodate mistakes and slipshod work. so the next person who is gonna give me that kind of work, get ready to face my super black face and wrath (if they piss me off enough) i can promise heads will roll if they give me more nonsensical excuse. (its okay one, at the corner mah, then the clear glass will cover so u cannot see it! pls, its CLEAR GLASS, and it can COVER? gimme a break, your nonsense is addling my mind and slowly reducing my IQ)

uncle came to my place earlier so i brought up the issue of him and the HDB license. he said that he uses this company to apply for permits as this guy used to be his partner but they split cos he said the company was in a mess. however, he continued to use them to apply for permits since himself and the old partner have an understanding. disclaimer: to this point i do not agree with piggybacking on another company over this permit issue... so i asked why does he not get another license for himself. he replied that he didnt bcos in the past, he just had to go down to hdb to apply but now it is all online so him being computer illiterate, he did not do so. well not that i think it is an excuse but we all know uncle is the sort where he rather not do it and rather do it the old fashion way, ringing his ex partner and telling him to apply it for him. i highlighted that there are some people who wants to go by the books and engage a hdb contractor for their renovation. he said that if they are not comfortable with him then so be it. and that having a license does not mean much. so in case some are wondering why no "supporter" is addressing this issue, here it is, straight from the horse's mouth. P.S: i think he is getting alan to do the permits for him.

my 2c of comments, it does look high, i mean,look at the gap between ur shower head and wall, so little!! but the general thing abt rain shower is that the higher the better.. mine ar compared to yrs, looks like dwarf.

fed up now so need to rant. carpenter is unable to give me the glass for my table top so i cant pack my things again. very fed up. keep delaying and delaying and only told me a while back. planned to go home early today to settle it once and for all but not needed anymore. so much for allocating time for that from work. n when i tell my mom she is gonna nag in general about them, which i hate to hear. nag them not me!!!! 3rdly, my table top was scratched while they were cutting an O shape for the wires. they patched it with silicon and now that the silicon has dried, it looks like yellowy white from the white table top. i told ah liew, he just said he will "chup" for me. still can tell me cannot be seen when glass is placed on it. if he is gonna give me all these excuse about CLEAR GLASS COVERING and i cannot see from my sitting angle, i am seriously gonna chew some heads off! I am getting this first hand, not some second hand furniture. either gimme the whole thing nicely or i rather not have it at all. some basic standards in workmanship ought to be there. sad to see people with no pride in their work.

well ncy, your points have been made and have resonated very well throughout this thread. we are only humans and we do get emotional. it seem like if i were an ah soon customer and i get emotional in my posts, i am branded an ah soon supporter who gets emotional, what is up with that? and if u said it is well known, why then, is there the start of round 2 of his same weakness and strengths? yes it invites comments due to his (over)exposure but i think what has been said should be made to pass. i cant help but feel like u are force-feeding your views on this issue when your views have been addressed. point taken! so if u go on and on and refuse to move on, can one not feeling like u are turning this thread into "your" platform?

i top mount mine since 1) costs more and before i can decide the guys were here with their cutter and granite top delivered. uncle said ok to undermount but jason say cannot. this is the most irksome part to me. 1 say can 1 say cannot. and uncle loves to over promise sometimes. BD, please clarify before work starts. that granite top is horrendously heavy!!!
