  2. thinking of going KEC this evening..... do u know their opening hours?
  3. yes that really make sense.... there is a price to pay for everything actually what we wanted is really simple.... a 5.1 AV which can support upscaling and 5.1 wall mount speakers which is small and simple.... no need to have fantastic sound output as the room is pretty small and we are not pro when appreciating music.... mostly used for movies, games and sometimes karaoke budget of below 1500... anyone knows if upcoming sitex will have any AV promotions?
  4. Thanks vicenzo70, elfettucine for the valuable advice will drop by KEC some time this week to have a look... besides the Denon AVR 1910 + Boston Acoustics promotion, do you know of any other ongoing A/V + speakers offer at Audio House?
  5. Thanks for the advice pardon my ignorance... but does that means that if i plug in a player with component output, it will upscale to HDMI quality? besides Onkyo, we are also quite interested in Pioneer 919.... actually we are no audiophiles but just like the design of Jamo speakers does KEC carries all these brands? Onkyo, Pioneer and Jamo
  6. haha... yes that is veri possible... passing each other for the pas 17 years i lived in the blocks across Catholic high
  7. have not managed to find find out the actual prices yet.... saw the Onkyo 607 and Jamo 102 set at Courts selling for 1599.... they dun allow for downgrading to the 507... any reliable shops that i can visit?
  8. Dear All, We are looking for a entry level A/V receiver and 5.1 speaker to install during our renovation. The speaker is preferably those small wall mount types but still powerful enough for a 3.5m by 3.7m living room..... Anyone has any recommendations on which model to get and where to get them? we have checked out the onkyo 507 and jamo 102 speakers and quite like them....
  9. finally can find time to post again below are the latest updates for the living room, shoe cabinets and kitchen.... still waiting for the updated drawings on the MBR Wardrobe and Toilet... any comments to improve
  10. hi bergkamp, have pm u the quote
  11. yah have asked them to change the colours but we are concern that grey tiles are harder to maintain as white patches might be very obvious....
  12. hi, does anyone knows any shops in Singapore that sells fibre optics lighting? came across quite a few photos in home and decor magazines that feature such lightings and thought that they look quite nice.... below is a link to a UK site which sells it online.... Optic Fibre Lighting from UK
  13. we are thinking of changing the kitchen cabinets to black for the bottom ones.... flooring might change to dark grey..... not sure how it will turn out to be.... but it looked quite nice on some magazines....
  14. Hi sohck, yes i agree with you initially i liaised mainly with mike but later andy took over as mike was busy with some other projects... response time from both were fantastic. I also find their pricing a little higher compare to others but still decided to go ahead as we felt comfortable dealing with mike and andy...
  15. thanxs pink but we might change the color tones for the living and kitchen area to white, grey..... not sure how it will turn out to be..... think they might reinforce with some steel brackets or something like that.... saw one shoe cabinet on their site that is fully suspended and supported only by a steel pole at the bottom
  16. i think its not drawn to scale, so it should not block the window... anyway will check with them again.... heh... we quite liked the design and tones also.... perhaps this will not be changed
  17. simon, do u mean in the living room?
  18. thought of that also, but not sure which is the best place.... do u recommend at the side or in front of the cabinet? wonder if they will charge extra for settee....
  19. yah, we told them we preferred earth tones... did not expect them to use brown for everything wow u sure are into bold colours ..... perhaps we will ask them to show us how it looks like
